  1. Run INT2HM.COM   to convert the list into an HELPMAKE input file
  2. Run HM2HLP.BAT   to convert INT2HM output file into QUICKHELP database
  3. Run MAKEHELP.BAT to convert the list into a QUICKHELP database
  4.  
  5. HM2HLP.BAT and MAKEHELP.BAT take as command argument the compression
  6. factor to use for HELPMAKE. Compression goes from 0 (NO COMPR.) to
  7. 15 (MAX COMPR.), if no argument is inserted, NORMAL COMPRESSION will
  8. be used (3).

  10.                         REQUIREMENTS

  12. Be sure that you have more than 20Mb free hard disk space before
  13. running MAKEHELP, after MAKEHELP finished without errors you can
  14. delete all files but INTERRUP.HLP (the QUICKHELP database). If you
  15. haven't enough free space, run first INT2HM.COM, delete all files
  16. but *.HM, then run HM2HLP.BAT .

  18. INT2HM requires these files in the current work directory for the 
  19. conversion:
  20.  ■PORTS.LST
  21.  ■MEMORY.LST
  22.  ■CMOS.LST
  23.  ■CATEGORY.KEY
  24.  ■INTERRUP.LST (run COMBINE.BAT to build it, then delete
  25.                 the INTERRUP.? files if you need free space)
  26.  
  27. to run MAKEHELP include also:
  28.  ■INT2HM.COM (the HELPMAKE conversion program)
  29.  ■HELPMAKE.EXE (the .HLP builder)
  30.

  35. INTERRUP.HLP includes a file selection menu (for CMOS, PORTS, MEMORY
  36. and INTERRUPTS) and full topic indexing on PORTS.LST and INTERRUP.LST
  37. with a one level index for PORTS and a two level index for INTERRUPTS,
  38. one for INT numbers and one for all entries for a specified INT number.
  39. INTERRUPT entries are all classified with the searching category flag
  40. reported in CATEGORY.KEY and the type description included direcly in 
  41. the list (undocumented, internal, ....) so that class searching is
  42. also possible with QUICKHELP searching functions.
