  4. INTRODUCTION
  5. Vinny Graphics is a novel graphing and data analysis program for
  6. engineers and engineering students. It is easy to use and accepts
  7. and exports data through a variety of sources.  The intuitive 
  8. Windows interface helps produce multi-parameter design or test
  9. data graphs and perform simple math operations on groups of cells.
  10. This zip package contains the complete 32 bit Vinny Graphics
  11. application for Windows 95. If you wish to run Vinny Graphics on
  12. Windows 3.1x you should download the 16 bit Vinny Graphics
  13. application for Windows.

  15. INPUT
  16. Data input is by:
  17.         1-Cut, copy and paste from external spread sheets.
  18.         2-Loading ascii data files in decimal or exponential format.
  19.         3-Key board entry into a series of internal mini spread sheets.
  20.         4-Loading complete graph files.

  22. MATH AND REGRESSION
  23. Data analysis works on up to 21 independent data sets in Windows 
  24. 95 and up to 12 independent data sets in Windows 3.1x.  Each set
  25. can contain up to 10,000 X,Y pairs.  Results are seen graphically
  26. as changes are made.  Curve fits are 1st to 5th order polynomial,
  27. power,  exponential or log. Simple math operations can be performed
  28. on columns of data.

  30. GRAPHS
  31. Graphs allow total freedom in setting up scales and grids.  Log
  32. scales with up to 20 cycles for each axis are available.

  35. Output is by:
  36.         1-Cut, copy and paste to external spread sheets.
  37.         2-Saving complete graph files or individual data set files.
  38.         3-Saving sizable graph Bitmap files.
  39.         4-High resolution color graph printing.
  40.         5-Complete data set and regression coefficient printing.

  42. FILES IN THE ZIP PACKAGE
  43. This zip package contains the complete 32 bit Vinny Graphics
  44. application for Windows 95. It will run on Windows 95.  It may
  45. also run on Windows NT but it has not been tested with it. Three
  46. files are required to run the application.  They are vin32.exe,
  47. vin32.hlp and vin32.cfg.  Put them in the same directory.  The
  48. demo files may also be located in this directory or else where
  49. if desired.

  51. ABOUT THE DEMOS
  52.         Logbar.gra demonstrates a 4X4 cycle log-log plot with a
  53.         combination of curve fits, bar and line graphs. This is a
  54.         complete graph and data file produced by Vinny Graphics.

  56.         Demo21.gra and Demo12.gra demonstrate the display of 21
  57.         and 12 data sets.  These are complete graph and data
  58.         files produced by Vinny Graphics.

  60.         DataDemo1.prn is normal X,Y two column data transfer file
  61.         produced by Vinny Graphics.  It represents one data set.
  62.  
  63.         DataDemo8.prn is an 8 column data file.  The program can
  64.         read but not produce files of this type.  The allowable
  65.         number of columns ranges from 1 to 13 for Windows 3.1x and
  66.         1 to 22 for Windows 95. The column lengths ranges from 1 to
  67.         10,000.  Column 1 is loaded as X values. Column 2 is loaded
  68.         as Y values of data set 1 and column 3 as Y values of data
  69.         set 2 etc.  Hint, to see DataDemo8 more clearly use the
  70.         SCALE dialog button FIND ALL after loading.  A complete
  71.         context sensitive help system is included in the program.

  73. MATH SAMPLE PROBLEM
  74.         A math sample problem [Math_Sam.txt] is included in this
  75.         zip package along with its solution [Math_Sam.gra].

  77. UPGRADE HISTORY
  78.         Version 1.30 adds independent printer output color control
  79.         for each data set.
  80.         Version 1.40 adds independent math operations on groups of
  81.         selected cells in addition to columns of cells.
  82.         Version 1.50 adds round off math operation.
  83.         Version 1.60 general font and menu maintenance.
  84.         Version 1.70 Adds decimal format to log scales.
  85.         Version 1.73 Revises help file and fixes minor bugs.
  86.         Version 1.75 Adds total, average and sigma to math menu.
  87.         Version 1.76 Adds three math menu dialogs.

  99. the HELP menu item or after the trial period runs out in the
