  12. Installation
  13. ============
  14.  If you are using a previous version of Cookie Cruncher
  15.  you must first uninstall it.  For directions on uninstalling
  16.  go to the bottom of this pages.  Unzip Cook211.Zip to 
  17.  any directory.  You must use an uncompressor that supports
  18.  long file names.  Make sure that any DOS name options are
  19.  turned off.  Run SETUP.EXE.  You will be prompted to 
  20.  change the directory, or install.  If you wish to change 
  21.  the application's directory, select change directory.  
  22.  Then select install program.  Setup
  23.  will take care of the rest.

  25.  If this is your first time installing the program, when
  26.  you run Cookie Cruncher for the first time it will kick
  27.  you into its setup program.  Click find on the apporiate
  28.  find buttons.  After you have setup Cookie Cruncher, hit
  29.  save.

  31. Setting Up Cookie Cruncher
  32. ==========================
  33.  At any time you can reconfigure Cookie Cruncher by clicking 
  34.  on the setup box from the main menu.  You will be given 
  35.  eight items that you can setup to run with Cookie Cruncher.
  36.  You select the search drive by selecting a drive under the
  37.  label Sear On Drive.

  39.  Here is the list and the format they should be in.  You can
  40.  enter the data manually or have Cookie Cruncher find them by
  41.  clicking on the find button:

  43.  Netscape Program - this is your actual Netscape EXE file. It
  44.     must include the full path name and EXE file.
  45.     (ex: C:\Netscape\Netscape.EXE)
  46.  
  47.  Netscape COOKIES.TXT - this is the Cookie file that netscape 
  48.     creates.  If this file is read only, no cookies will
  49.     be saved on your hard drive.  If you want to utilize
  50.     Cookie Cruncher, the file must be write enabled.  It
  51.     must include the full path and file name.
  52.     (ex. D:\Netscape\Cookies.TXT)

  54.  Explorer Program - this is your actual Explorer EXE file.  It
  55.     must include the full path name and EXE file.
  56.     (ex. E:\Program Files\iexplore.EXE)
  57.  
  58.  Cookies Directory - this is the directory Explorer saves cookies
  59.     to.  It must include the full path and a "\".
  60.     (ex. C:\Windows\Cookies\)
  61.  
  62.  America On Line Program - this is your actual AOL EXE file.
  63.     it must include the full path and EXE file.
  64.     (ex. D:\AOL\AOL.EXE)
  65.  
  66.  Cookie Cruncher Program - this is your actual Cookie Cruncher
  67.     EXE file.  It is used only if you want to create a 
  68.     link on your desktop.  It must include the full path
  69.     and the EXE file.
  70.     (ex. C:\Program Files\Coookie Cruncher\Cookie Cruncher.EXE)

  72.  Exactname of Dial Up Adaptor - Used to start your dial up
  73.     connection.  It is case sensitive and it must be the exact
  74.     spelling of your dial up adaptor.
  75.     (ex. GTE, OnRamp, ATT.  If it is gte, then GTE would
  76.      not work.)

  78.  Add Cookie Crunher to your desktop - adds A link to Cookie
  79.     Cruncher on your desktop.  To remove it, run setup again
  80.     and uncheck this box.  Then hit save.

  83. Uninstalling
  84. ============
  85.  To uninstall a previous version or version 2.11 follow
  86.  these steps:

  88.  Hit the start button, select Settings, then Control Panel.
  89.  
  90.  In the control panel select Add/Remove Programs.
  91.  
  92.  Then select Cookie Cruncher, then hit Add/Remove.
