19 Before you install LANDesk Virus Protect, you should plan your system. 20 After setup is complete, you must load RTVSCAN.NLM on each NetWare server where you installed Virus Protect. You must do this at the server console, or you can use RCONSOLE if you have rights.\n\nIf you installed Virus Protect to the default directory, the load command would be\n\n load sys:landesk\vp5\rtvscan.nlm\n\nClick Destination Server List to view (and print if you want) a list of all NetWare servers that you installed to and the paths you need to load RTVSCAN.NLM.
21 After setup is complete, you must run SETUP.EXE on each Windows NT server where you installed Virus Protect. You must do this at the server because SETUP.EXE modifies the server's registry and creates Windows NT services.\n\nIf you installed Virus Protect to the default folder, the full path to SETUP.EXE would be\n\n c:\program files\landesk\vp5\setup.exe\n\nClick Destination Server List to view (and print if you want) a list of all NT servers that you installed to and the paths that you need to run SETUP.EXE.
22 LANDesk Virus Protect Administrator is the program you use to administer protected servers and clients on your network.\n\nIf you installed LANDesk Virus Protect Administrator on a Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.x workstation, you can run it from Start > Programs > Intel LANDesk Virus Protect > Virus Protect Administrator.\n\nIf you installed LANDesk Virus Protect Administrator to a Windows NT 3.51 computer, look for the Virus Protect Administrator icon in the LANDesk Virus Protect program folder.
23 When you run LANDesk Virus Protect Administrator, you will be prompted to enter a password to unlock your LANDesk Virus Protect domain. The default password is:\n\n vprotect (case sensitive)\n\nYou can change the password later if you want. Click More Info for more information.
24 The LANDesk Virus Protect client program protects computers connected to the network as well as computers that may not always be connected, such as laptops.\n\nUsers can run the client setup program from a disk image on a server or from the Virus Protect CD.\n\nYou can automate client installation by using login scripts, mail macros, or other means.\n\nClick More Info for more information.
25 Setup supports the following installation scenarios:\n\nConnected - Choose this option if this computer is connected to servers running LANDesk Virus Protect.\n\nStandalone - Choose this option if this computer is not connected to servers running LANDesk Virus Protect. For example, your home computer.
