  3. 1. Under Windows 95 (or Win 98), IM will now display long names (up to
  4.    260 characters long) for both files and directories (folders) along
  5.    with the short names.   These names are displayed only if they are
  6.    different from the short names.  This is documented in detail
  7.    in file LONG.TXT.
  8.  
  9. 2. IM will now match file names based on long file names (if they are
  10.    available) and will maintain (and display) the long file name
  11.    information in its integrity data files even when you boot from
  12.    versions of DOS that don't support long file names.
  13.  
  14. 3. IMcheck will now display Win 95 Long names for both files and directories.

  16. 4. IMcheck supports a /P command line parameter which pauses IMcheck's output

  142. 1 IM and SetupIM have support for the new FAT32 volumes available in Win95
  143.   OEM service release 2.

  146.   allows allows SetupIM to recognize Win95 system sectors correctly without
  147.   booting to native DOS.

  164.   avoid confusion with MS Word's convention of using .DOC extensions.

  166. 8 If no other command line commands (/Cx or /IX) are present, the /CC or
  167.   /IC (check or initialize CMOS) commands will cause IM to execute and
  168.   quit rather than enter menu mode.

  170. 9 IM's advice relative to resident memory changes (e.g. /CM) has been
  171.   improved. This includes recognition of when the PC has been booted from
  172.   a floppy.
  173.  
  174. 10 The "Check" "Partition sector" and "Initialize" "Partition sector"
  175.    commands now offer the option of checking other than just the
  176.    current disk.  This is intended for situations where the current
  177.    disk is inaccessible by the operating system.  (The reload menu
  178.    has always had this capability.)

  180. Version 3.02a released 7-16-96
  181.  
  182. 1) Integrity Master can now detect unknown viruses in memory with its
  183.    "Resident program and memory" configuration check.  This allows you
  184.    to detect the presence of unknown viruses without booting from a
  185.    floppy and also provides you a warning if the low-level configuration
  186.    of your PC has changed.  This check is done automatically by
  187.    the "Entire disk integrity" option on the check menu or directly by
  188.    the "/CM" command line switch or the "Resident programs and memory"
  189.    option on the "Check" menu.
  190.  
  191. 2)  IM offers several new command line options:
  192.  
  193. "/CM"    Check resident programs and memory (allows detection of unknown
  194.          memory resident viruses.  This is equivalent to the "Resident
  195.          programs and Memory" option on the check menu.
  196.  
  197. "/IM"    Record (initialize) data describing resident programs and memory
  198.  
  199. "/MF=xxxx.SRL"  Specifies the file used by check "Resident programs
  200.                 and memory" command.
  201.  
  202. "/MS#"   You can use the command line /MS# option (or SetupIM) to
  203.          vary the sensitivity of IM to resident program configuration
  204.          changes.  The sensitivity can be set from 0 to 9. 0 turns
  205.          the check off, and 9 provides maximum sensitivity to
  206.          changes.  /MS4 is the default (and recommended) setting. /MS9 is
  207.          useful for for researchers and on systems where there should
  208.          be no software changes at all.
  209.  
  210. 3) IM identifies over 700 new viruses by name and characteristic
  211.    including: 4Seasons, Alfons, Angry, Antarex, AntiDivina, AntiDMV, AOS
  212.    (many variants), Asparagus, Atom,  Baby, BadCom, Body, BootCom,

  244.    detailed information for system sector changes and avoids reporting
  245.    changes when Win95 changes the serial number in floppy boot sectors.

  249. 4) The ReLoad menu has a new option titled, "Partition Boot code" and
  250.    there is a new associated command line switch: "/RE". This will check
  251.    the partition table and replace the executable code in the partition
  252.    sector (AKA Master Boot Record) with a clean self-checking program.
  253.    This can be used to remove boot sector viruses from your hard disk
  254.    when IM has no reload data.  This code is compatible with DOS 2.1 or
  255.    later, OS/2, Win 95, Win NT and other operating systems.

  257. 5) The ReLoad menu has a new option titled, "Floppy Boot Sector" and
  258.    there is a new associated command line switch: "/RF". This will check
  259.    the disk parameters and replace the executable code in the boot
  260.    sector with a clean self-checking program and can correct the disk
  261.    parameters (diskette type, size, # of tracks, etc.) if needed. This
  262.    can be used to remove boot sector viruses from floppy diskettes when
  263.    IM has no reload data.
  264.  
  265. 6) The option "Ignore Time/date changes ──────> on/OFF" is now set to
  266.    "on" in most cases and its function has been improved. IM will now
  267.    check for date or time changes even if this options is set to "ON"
  268.    but it will not display the change if the only change to the file
  269.    is its date or time stamp.

  271. 7) The Windows configuration is corrected for Win 95 (in some cases the
  272.    IM Windows setup program (IMWIN.EXE) would install the wrong command
  273.    line switches.)
