- --- VisualRoute Help ---
-
- This help file provides answers for common VisualRoute execution
- problems. When an error occurs, JBOOT refers to you to this help
- file. JBOOT is the VisualRoute program launcher that attempts to
- run VisualRoute by using various Java VM's.
-
- o "Unable to locate system class java\lang\Object" -- There is
- a problem with your installation of Java. You must reinstall
- your Java VM to reinstall the system class files. Do this by
- following the directions in the readme.txt file. One customer
- reports that this problem occurs with the Dutch install of IE,
- but not the English install.
-
- o "Unable to load any maps from the 'maps' directory" -- Please
- reinstall VisualRoute to install the maps. If the problem
- persists, please configure your anti-virus software (like
- eSafe) to allow VisualRoute access to system resources.
-
- o "VERIFIER ERROR" -- This is a problem with Java 1.0.2. Please
- upgrade to Java 1.1 or later.
-
- o When all else fails, try rebooting your PC. This clears up problems
- that I have had while using Sun's JRE (Java Runtime Environment).
- JRE refused to run a Java application, always producing a fault,
- until the PC was rebooted.
-
- If you need to upgrade your Java VM, please follow the directions
- in the readme.txt file. Close down all programs before installing
- the new Java VM. Then, reboot your PC and re-run VisualRoute.
