The Emboss effect creates the impression of stamping the contours of the image into a flat surface or plate. To change the lighting direction, click a direction button. Drag the slider in the Brightness area to adjust the brightness of the effect. Drag the slider in the Power area to change the 'depth' of the embossing effect.
