Vanity, Ego, concern with the SELF:- these are the negatives
shrouding progress. Acknowledge your true worth - but remember;
the Gods respect humility in mortals above all else.

You can hide your true self from all others, save the Gods. You
may even fool yourself with vainglorious notions. Like Loki,
self interest motivates you; give it up or lose the chance of a
new beginning.

Gebo     - Partnership
In Partnership lies freedom. The Gods only form partnerships with
equals, and you should do the same. Trust in relationships springs
from independence.

Ansuz    - Signals
When the Gods speak, listen carefully. Mortals in the main do not
concern us, and when we see fit to send you a sign, ignore it at
your peril.

Ansuz    - Signals (Reversed)
Either you have ignored a message from the Gods, or you are failing
to communicate clearly with fellow mortals. Stop and observe. What
are you missing?

Othila   - Separation
A parting of the ways - either in a relationship, or perhaps a
business venture. Separations can be painful, so prepare your
defences.

The normal mortal reaction to a separation of some kind is
a reflex of pain and confusion. Trust your feelings, not your
head, for in this situation, logic cannot assist you.

Uruz     - Strength
A time of new beginnings. Summon your internal strength to raise
the courage you need for a new start.

Through weakness you have missed or may be about to miss an
opportunity. By summoning up your inner reserves of strength, you
can overcome this danger.

Perth    - Initiation
The rune of revelations puts you on warning that you are about
to be initiated into some secret. Sometimes this rune advises of
material gains.

The revelation you felt was about to happen has passed you by.
You have ears to hear, unless you choose not to listen.

Nauthiz  - Constraint
The forest is all around you; wherever you turn, trees block your
passage. In the darkness of the deep forest, he who strays from
the trail is brave indeed.

Problems and trials press on you from all sides; you cannot evade them,
you must face them whatever the personal cost.

Inguz    - Fertility
An auspicious rune, especially if starting a new project or task.
Although the Gods smile on your endeavours, you must not rest on
your laurels - the success of your venture depends upon the labour
pains you endure now.

Eihwaz   - Defence
Hemmed in by wolves, you cannot outrun them. Climb the tree and wait
for their patience to end. After all, you are waiting for your life,
they simply wait for a meal.

Algiz    - Protection
Your heart has a tendency to rule your head. In a mortal this is
indeed a dangerous lapse. Consider your next move very carefully.

You do not see the hidden agenda, which may cost you dear. Remember
that most mortals are driven by self-interest and greed, and the
open smile of a partner may hide the sharp teeth of the wolf.

Fehu     - Possessions
A rune telling of great success in the mundane world. Your venture
will succeed, perhaps wildly surpass your expectations. For reasons
of our own, the Gods are smiling on you.

Whatever you touch will turn to clay. Avoid commiting yourself
to new ventures or relationships, for they will fail as surely
as the moon waxes and wanes.

Wunjo    - Joy
By the grace of the Gods, a time of much pleasure is promised. Enjoy
The fruits of your labours while you can, for that which the Gods
give, they can also take away.

The storm approaches. Close the shutters and listen in awe to
the hammer of Thor.

Jera     - Harvest
You need do no more. That which you deserve will rightfully be yours.
The only requirement is that you have patience, for the turning
of the seasons are governed by the Gods; as above, so below.

Where all was dark, you now can see. The spark of light bestowed
upon you by the will of the Gods must serve as a reminder to you.
How small and unimportant are the mortals, how glorious the Gods.

The door slams shut on you, propelled by the mischevious hand of
Loki. What seemed within your grasp is now lost, forever, unless
you can find the key to unlock the door.

Teiwaz   - Warrior
The true warrior waits on the will of the Gods. Be patient, attend
to signals from above, for if you move of your own volition,
your immodesty will cause the removal of your Divine support.

You act rashly, with little thought or interest for those
around you. Expect not the blessings of the Gods if you
do not attend their promptings.

Berkana  - Growth
That which you have seeded, will in time bloom. You can not
hurry this process, over-watering the seed kills the corn.

The soil is poor, and your hatchling fail to take root. Try
planting again, this time giving more care to your choice of
land.

Ehwaz    - Movement
The world turns around you, and change is apparent, whether you
will it or not.

Be still and silent. Undue noise or motion now may draw your enemy
down on you.

Laguz    - Flow
Trust your intuition - your internal promptings are actually the
voices of the Gods.

The river is too deep, your burden too heavy. Turn back now or
drown mid-stream, leaving your bones beneath the rushing waters.

Hagalaz  - Disruption
Powers beyond your control are active. A great trouble appears,
you may avoid it, but you cannot defeat it for by fighting
you may make matters worse.

Raido    - Communication
You must say what you mean, and mean what you say; without
instruction, your thralls cannot work on your behalf, and sit
around idly, drinking the fresh goat's milk.

The problems you experience stem from a failure to listen, either
on your part or your partner's. Without clarity, the situation
will crumble like a deserted wasp's nest.

Thurisaz - Gateway
The doors of Valhalla stand open. Step through and live in glory
eternal with the Gods, or retake your place amongst the mortals.
Either way, decide soon for the gates open only once a year.

Stepping through to the other side now will be a mistake - what
you see is not the glory of Valhalla beckoning, but the trickery
of Loki, disguising the real nature of Farn.

By the will of the Gods, you are to be permitted the first stroke
of the battle. Strike well and glory is assured; be faint of heart
and all men will laugh at the mention of your name.

Isa      - Standstill
The ice demons have you in their frozen grip. Too strong for any
mortal, you can only pray for the Gods to set you free. Be
patient; the fate of one mortal concerns us little.

Sowelu   - Wholeness
By dint of hard effort and modesty, you approach that state of
completeness in which the Gods take notice of you. Be not
proud, for ego now will destroy all your labour.

Odin     - The Unknowable
The Gods give life, the Gods take it away. The future is not
set in stone; even the face of death may smile if the joke is
ribald enough.
