  1. Illusion v1.0 is an inexpensive Image Manipulation program which contains the following features:

  3. Support for common file formats:    BMP, DIB, PCX and TGA

  5. A customisable Tool Bar that can contain:

  7. Tools for drawing on images:    Paint Brush, Air Brush, Pen, Spray Paint, Marker and Crayon.

  9. Tools for enhancing images:    Contrast, Brightness, Intensity,  Gamma Correct
  10.                 Negative, RGB Adjust , Average, Sharpen, Blur, Soften, 
  11.                 Edge Enhance, Enhance Detail and Enhance Focus.

  13. Tools for applying special effects:    Tint, Colour Replacer, Posterise, Solarise, Edge Detect, Ring, 
  14.                 Shudder, Emboss and Engrave.

  16. Tools for creating selections:    Select Rectangle, Select Ellipse, Select Free and Select Colour Range.

  18. A comprehensive range of effects:    Average, Blender, Blur, Brightness, Colour Replacer, Contrast,

  32. Please note that Illusion v1.0 is not free.  If you wish to continue using it beyond the 30 day trial period
  33. you must register as described in the help file.  Registration will cost ú10 and will enable you to use the 
  34. following commands: Save, Save As, Print, Copy and Cut.

  38. The code will work with Illusion 1.0 and all subsequent minor releases i.e. Bug fixes.
  39. Bug fixes will be left on bulletin boards.

  42. 386 or above.
  43. Windows 3.1 or above.
  44. A graphics display of 256 colours or above.
  45. A mouse for the Tools.

  48. Illusion v1.0 should be distributed with the following files:

  50. Illusion.exe    This is the actual program
  51. Illusion.hlp    This is the Help file
  52. Readme.txt    You must have this or you would not  be reading this
  53. BWCC.DLL

  55. These files must be distributed together.

  57. The following sample image was also included but will probably disappear somewhere along the way.

  60. If disk space is tight, you do not need to distribute the sample image.

  64. Installation:
  65.  
  66. 1.    Create a directory on your hard disk to contain Illusion.    i.e.   c:\>md illusion 
  67. 2.    Copy all the files from the floppy disk into this directory.    i.e.   c:\>copy a:\*.* c:\illusion 
  68. 3.    Start Windows 
  69. 4.    In Program Manager, select New from the File menu and select the Program Group option.
  70. 5.    Select New from the File menu and select the Program Item option.
  71. 6.    Click on the Browse button, change to the directory containing Illusion.exe and select this file.
  72. 7.    Click the OK button.  To start Illusion, double click on the icon.
