DR. FORM 3.2 System Requirements:
* IBM or compatible PC
DOS 3.1 or higher
CGA video card or higher (i.e. EGA, VGA, etc.)
640K memory (RAM)
A mouse and hard drive are highly recommended.
* To install from a floppy, insert the floppy disk in drive A: (or another
floppy drive) and type:
A:INSTALL Then just follow the directions on the screen.
* If you obtained DR. FORM from a BBS and UnZIPed it (and it is in the
directory that you want), then no installation is necessary unless you
want to run it in Windows with the included Program Group and Icon.
(See note immediately below)
*** If you will be using Dr. Form in Windows, and it is "not" currently
installed in the DR_FORM directory, then you should run the INSTALL
program so that it will set up a DR_FORM directory (WINSET will then
automatically be run). If Dr. Form is "already" in the DR_FORM
directory, then just run WINSET.EXE from there.
* If you have DR. FORM on a CD ROM, it *cannot* be run on the CD ROM itself
because it requires the ability to write to the disk. You *CAN* install
it from the CD to your hard drive. The INSTALL program will run from
the CD. Just type INSTALL
* To run DR. FORM after it is installed, just type DF at the DOS prompt.
* To read .DOC or .TXT files on screen, type BROWSE <filename>
i.e. to read the README file, type BROWSE README.DOC
* To print .DOC or .TXT files on your printer type PRINT <filename>
i.e. to print the README file, type PRINT README.DOC
* The file PACKING.LST includes all the files that came with DR. FORM.
To read or print it, follow the directions above.
* Version 3.2 adds A4 size forms (297mm) popular in Europe, and a couple
of minor bug fixes. Also, Dr. Form now includes it's own Windows
setup program for those who prefer Windows. See the file WINSET.DOC.
* If you are using a Laser Printer, please read Chapter 9 in the manual,
"Printing With Laser Printers".
