  31. GoldWave is a sound editor, player, recorder, and converter
  32. for Windows 95/NT.  You can use it to make Web page sounds,
  33. answering machine messages, or even record your own CD (when
  34. used with CD writer/software).

  85. 2.0 Installation, Uninstall

  88. 2.1) Installation

  90. Simply create a new "goldwave" folder, such as:
  91.   C:\Program Files\GoldWave
  92. and unzip or copy all files into that folder.  Create a short
  93. cut to the "goldwave.exe" file in the folder.

  95. 2.2) Uninstall
  96.  
  97. Delete the following files from your Windows folder:
  98.     express.eqx
  99.     gwpreset.ini
  100.     goldwave.ini
  101. Delete the GoldWave folder.  Other files are listed in
  102. section 4.0.

  106. 3.0 Important Additional Notes
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------

  109. 3.1) Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.00 or later is required to
  110. run this version.  A Pentium processor is recommended.
  111.  
  112. 3.2) In order to get the oscilloscopes and white playback
  113. position line working correctly, you might have to change
  114. the positioning method in the Device Controls Device
  115. Properties.
  116.  
  117. 3.3) If GoldWave crashes during playback or recording,
  118. contact your sound card manufacturer to obtain an updated
  119. driver.  Some drivers are available from the World Wide Web.
  120. The GoldWave WWW home page has links to some sound card
  121. manufacturers.
