Thanks for playing Balls of Steel.
Here are a couple of issues that came up after the documentation
for the game was already put together, and could not be included.
1) There is a known problem with the v1.0 release of the game
(both shareware & registered) where on certain types of video
cards when you quit the game, your mouse pointer will be
incorrect (not just in the game, but everywhere). A current
workaround for this (when it happens) is to quit the program
altogether, and then re-run the game (but don't actually play
a table since that's where the problem occurs) and all should
be well. Then when you quit the game it should remain fixed.
A future patch will take care of this issue without having to
go through all these steps. This should not affect very many
people at all, but we felt it should be mentioned.
2) If you get the registered version (1.0 only) of the game,
there is a problem where if you have not previously installed
SciTech's Display Doctor on your system, you will not be able
to use the "Video Setup" button from the Options Menu more than
one time. This is due to the fact that there is a missing dll
file in that version. This also should not affect very many
people, but should you find that you ahve the full verson of
the game, and cannot use the "Video Setup" button, you should
download an available patch on our web site. It is available
at http://www.pinballwizards.com.
Thanks for playing Balls of Steel!
