  1. ALI-PAL Software  featuring
  2. games that two people can play - inspired by Alison

  4. My daughter and I started playing games on my computer when she was about 5. 
  5. She could not do them herself so she would sit on my lap and I would do some 
  6. of the controls and she would do the rest. That worked OK, but being a programmer 
  7. I thought I could to better so... I started writing games that two people could 
  8. play on the same computer together.

  11. It was harder than it looked and took more time than you would think. 
  12. Anyway we have had lots of fun making and playing these games and now 
  13. I'm putting out these demo versions for others to have fun with too.

  19. These games require MicroSoft Windows 95(TM) and DirectX(TM) 3.0 or higher or 
  20. NT 4.0 with sp3. They play best at 800x600 screen resolution, but don't need a 
  21. really fast machine.

  27. - Too hard for your child ?
  28. You might try going into the "Input devices" button and changing the max speed and sensitivity settings. Slower would probably be easier for your younger child and you could handicap yourself.

  40. The full Play version will let you save tracks you make in the track editor
  41. so you can have match races on several different tracks. I've had to reduce
  42. the overall file size for FTP purposes by removing some of the sounds (mostly of my
  43. daughter announcing) - The full play version also contains the full sound library.

  45. I have a new game called Crazy Lacrosse that plays like the Hot Potato Pong, except that you each have 2 players and on the medium and hard play settings they can move back and forth as well as up and down. 
  46. This game is also $10.00 ($7.50 + $2.50 S&H) or $7.50 with an email address to send it to as a binary attachment to.
