  14. 1. What's new in version 2.1
  15. ----------------------------

  18.   * Resizable Header View, Message Peek and QuickMail windows.
  19.   * The last 10 email addresses used in QuickMail are stored in a 
  20.     dropdown list.

  23. 2. If You Are Upgrading
  24. -----------------------
  25.   If you are upgrading from version 2.0 and had received a "Can't find
  26.   phone book" error message; After installing version 2.1 go into Setup 
  27.   and check that the correct dial-up account is selected under the 
  28.   Connection Tab.
  29.  
  30.   If you are upgrading from version 1.2 or prior there are several
  31.   new options. Please run Setup and set these new options before
  32.   using Lydia. The help file describes the various options.

  35. 3. Why it can't load Extended RAS Support (NT Users)
  36. ----------------------------------------------------
  37.   When Lydia starts it checks to see if the current operating 
  38.   system supports the extended RAS functions that is uses to 
  39.   connect to the Internet. If it can't find them (such as with 
  40.   NT, which handles RAS differently than Windows 95) it will 
  41.   disable this feature. Lydia will still work, but the program 
  42.   may not be able to automatically connect to the Internet. 
  43.   In such a case simply choose 'Check only while online' under
  44.   Setup.

  46.   If you receive an error that it can't find RASAPI32.DLL and the
  47.   program exits then you need to ensure that you have Dial-Up 
  48.   Networking installed.

  51. 4. Note to AOL Users
  52. --------------------
  53.   Lydia makes use of Windows 95's Dial-Up Networking to check
  54.   if you are connected to the internet. If you are using AOL's 
  55.   software to connect to the internet Lydia's "dialup, check and
  56.   disconnect" feature may not work.
  57.  
  58.   Lydia may also not be able to determine if you are online when
  59.   checking for new mail. To over come this do the 
  60.   following:
  61.  
  62.   1. Under the Connections tab in Setup select 'Connect via LAN
  63.      or other direct connection'.
  64.  
  65.   2. Under the Mail tab in Setup place an X in 'supress error
  66.      messages'.

  70. 5. Peek Line Problem
  71. --------------------
  72.   Some POP3 mail servers do not follow the internet standard
  73.   for retrieving portions of messages. These servers count the
  74.   lines of the message header as part of the message. If you 
  75.   notice that the number of lines seen when you peek at a 
  76.   message is consistantly short of the number of lines you have 
  77.   specified under the Mail tab in Setup then your Mail Server 
  78.   may be one of these. There is no way to get around this other 
  79.   than convincing your ISP to change Mail Server software. A 
  80.   suggestion would be to increase the number of lines to peek 
  81.   at by 15. (This is the average number of lines in a message 
  82.   header)
