  1. DataChart Installation - Database Charting for Windows

  4. This version of DataChart includes Version 4.51 of the
  5. Borland Database Engine.
  6.  
  7. If you already have the Borland Database Engine
  8. (BDE) Version 4.01 or later installed on your system, then
  9. you may not need to re-install it with DataChart.
  10. (Versions of the BDE are included in applications 
  11. such as Paradox and Wordperfect Office.)  You can install
  12. DataChart with either Custom or Compact installation
  13. options, without the BDE.
  14.  
  15. If you do not have the BDE Version 4.01 (or later) on your
  16. system, then you will have to install using the Typical 
  17. installation option, or with the Custom option including
  18. the BDE.
  19.  
  20. A DataChart installation using BDE 4.51 (or later) can
  21. work with either Access 95 or Access 97 database tables.
