  43.  The Intelligent Updater installation disks or CD contains several  
  44.  executable files. The filenames change from week to week. They show 
  45.  the year (yyyy) the month (mm) and day (dd) that the definitions 
  46.  were released.  They also show the version number (vvv) which represents
  47.  multiple builds

  282.  3. From the temporary location on the PC, use FTP to connect to the
  283.     AS400 server.  Log in as QSECOFR, or a user that has *ALLOBJ 
  284.     authority.
  285.  4. Change to Binary transfer mode. 
  286.  5. Put the files into the Incoming directory: 
  287.      /SYMANTEC/VIRUSDEFS/INCOMING
  288.  6. From the AS/400 console issue the command:
  289.      CHGOWN OBJ('/SYMANTEC/VIRUSDEFS/INCOMING/*') NEWOWN(QNOTES)
  290.     to change the owner of all the files to QNOTES.
  291.  7. Norton AntiVirus will automatically begin using the new definitions 
  292.     within 10 minutes.

  319.  3. From the temporary location on the PC, use FTP to connect to the 
  320.     OS/390 server.  Log in as your domino server user.
  321.  4. Change to Binary transfer mode. 
  322.  5. Put the files into the Incoming directory: 
  323.     (Your Install Location)/Symantec/virusdefs/incoming
  324.  6. Norton AntiVirus will automatically begin using the new definitions 
  325.     within 10 minutes.

  329. XVI. Installing Virus Definition Files Manually

  332.  If you do not want Intelligent Updater to install the new virus
  333.  definitions for you automatically, you can use the /DUMP command to
  334.  extract the virus definition files, then copy the appropriate files
  335.  to the virus definitions folder. 
  336.  
  337.  Installing Virus Definition Files Manually
  338.  --------------------------------------------------------------------
  339.  1. Copy the Intelligent Updater program (yyyymmdd-vvv-I16.EXE,
  340.     yyyymmdd-vvv-I161.EXE, or yyyymmdd-vvv-I32.EXE or 
  341.     yyyymmdd-vvv-X86.EXE) to an empty, temporary folder.
  342.  2. Launch the Intelligent Updater program using the /DUMP command. 
  343.     For the yyyymmdd-vvv-X86.EXE file, use the /EXTRACT command.
  344.     This will extract all the virus definitions to the folder. For 
  345.     example, type yyyymmdd-vvv-I32.EXE /DUMP to extract the files. Or 
  346.     type yyyymmdd-vvv-X86.EXE /EXTRACT [path] where path represents 
  347.     the current directory. The yyyymmdd represents the date of the 
  348.     definition set. The vvv represents the version number.  For example, 
  349.     the filename could be 20021231-001-I32.EXE for a December 31 
  350.     definition set.
  351.  3. Copy the files to the virus definition folder.  Copy the files to
  352.     this location:
  353.     C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\VirusDefs\Incoming\
  354.  
  355.     NOTE: Copy the file ZDONE.DAT last. This file signals Norton
  356.     AntiVirus that the definition set has been completely loaded. If
  357.     it is not loaded last, it may cause errors.
