  5. I made this program for everyone to enjoy. I expect only one thing.

  12. Background:

  14. Hack-it is a little program the I made for myself and a friend,
  15. mainly for use with another wonderful program, Wintalk, which
  16. brings up a small chat window and connects to another person
  17. on the net also running wintalk. We wanted to make it so the
  18. small chat window would stay above all other windows, so we
  19. could work on other things without losing sight of the Wintalk
  20. window.

  22. Top-It! and Hide-It! Use:
  23.  
  24. For normal use, just select a window name form the top or bottom
  25. lists and select the button you want to act on it with. The window
  26. will be topped, hidden, un-topped, or un-hidden accordingly. To
  27. use the Auto-Top list, choose the Auto Top button, and add, edit,
  28. and delete window titles as needed. Wildcards (* and ?) are
  29. supported. (Thanks to Lee Perkins, aka LeEpR_MaN, for the wildcard
  30. code.

  32. Tray-It! Use:
  33.  
  34. This is the newest feature in v2.0. By selecting a window from the
  35. first list, you can choose to put it in any of the three "Tray-It!"
  36. slots. The program will then be hidden, and a placemarker will be put
  37. on the tray. To use the placemarker, left-click to show the window,
  38. right-click to hide the window, and double-click to clear the slot.
  39. If you put a program in an already-taken slot, the former program will
  40. be shown and the new program will go in its place. Note: Some programs
  41. will not show an icon on the tray. I am working on a way to fix this.
  42. I have to admit, I like this feature.

  47. Very basic, nothing special to it, just choose the window to act
  48. one and press a button. Basic Layout: Two listboxes, one for visible
  49. windows and one for hidden windows. Buttons for the first list:
  50. Top-It!, Hide-It!, Un-Top-It!. Buttons for the second list:
  51. Top-It!, Un-Hide-It!, Un-Top-It!.

  54. Added the Auto-Top list which allows the use of wildcards to choose
  55. certain windows that will always be "topped" automatically. Basic
  56. Layout of Auto-Top dialogs: List of wildcard specs, with buttons to
  57. add, edit, and delete them.

  60. Bugfix to v1.1. No new features.

  63. Apparantly, that last .01 didn't cut it.

  66. Added the Tray-It! feature, and cleaned up a few things. Still has
  67. some problems that are being difficult with me. Tray-It! allows you
  68. to run any program "on" the tray. It's nice for programs that you
  69. don't normally need to have shown, but that you run for long periods
  70. of time.

  73. I FINALLY found the problem with the beta. It all works well now, but
  74. I have new ideas already. 2.1 is in the works, and 3.0 is on the board.
