  3. Dear Beta Tester:

  5. Enclosed you will find the beta 1 release of VirusScan for Windows,
  6. version 2.1.  This is the first beta release of the new version.
  7.  
  8. This release includes only the Windows version.  The command line and
  9. DOS UI versions will follow shortly.  Additionally, VShield version 2.1
  10. will also follow in a few days.
  11.  
  12. We are looking for some very specific feedback.  First, we are looking
  13. for any errors that cause General Protection Fault errors, or other
  14. incompatibilities with Windows.  Second, we are looking for feedback
  15. on false alarms (files reported as infected with a virus which are not,
  16. in fact, infected.)  If you receive any false alarms, please upload the
  17. file to our BBS right away so that we can fix the error before the next
  18. release.  Also, please report any other errors, corrections or comments
  19. to us as soon as possible, preferably by posting a message on our BBS.
