  2. Got it done - Hard to believe especially since I don't have any documentation
  3. for writing to the MCI Audio CD driver!
  4. I still need to have some database options installed on the menu, and it won't
  5. print it out yet, but that's what upgrades are for...  Need to work on the
  6. timer too - If anything were to go wrong, that timer whould have message boxes
  7. all over the screen (I think!)

  10. I think that I got the GetCurrentTrack function returning the current track.
  11. I also added a time elapsed box for the track and the disc.
  12. The browse Database option now brings up the song list when double clicked or
  13. the button is pressed. (Still doesn't save the Edits though).
  14. Added DLL versions to the About Box.

  17. Implemented the Timer Resolution option that was there, (but did nothing).
  18. Added and implemented a Time Remaing option on the menu.

  23. Jim found that by leaving the Artist or Title Fields blank, it caused a
  24. few problems trying to edit that disc later.  So, I now check to see if those
  25. fields are empty, and if so, notify the user that this cannot be!  It then
  26. returns to what it was previously doing.

  28. v1.30 - 09 Oct 92
  29. Figured out an easy way to get buttons on the main screen. Only, it involved
  30. totaly redoing the program. Instead of a window, it is now a modaless dialog
  31. box.  The CD Controls are now on the main screen.
  32. Did away with the timer resolution option.  It now defaults to checking every
  33. second.
  34. Removed the CD Controls from the ReadDisc Dialog box as they were no longer
  35. needed there.

  38. Added two print functions - Full Listing, and Single Disc Listing.  Full List
  39. is available on the main menu, while single listing can only be started from
  40. the edit dialog.

  43. When Editing a loaded disc, it would change the DB date to the current date. 
  44. Now I have it preserving the previously loaded date.  Fixed the Shadow on
  45. the edit button.

  54. Discovered that version 1.41 was compiled with the co-processor instructions
  55. turned on.  I turned it off, and will re-upload it.
  56. Put Tab-stops in the database browse dialog.  Looks cleaner.  I also embeded
  57. the disc ID in the string, so I won't have to spend so many resources building
  58. a search string, now I can just extract it out of the string, and do a key
  59. search.

  69. Incorperated the new Paradox Engine (3.0).  Had to make some minor changes in
  70. the way the tables were created and indexed.  Haven't really taken advantage
  71. of the new engine yet...
  72. Set the program so that when it's an icon, it won't do any time figuring.  It
  73. kind of speeds up the WM_TIMER message.

  76. Recompiled under Borland Pascal 7.0.
  77. Hopfully fixed the printer and fonts problem.
  78. Added a composite index so that Artist and Title will be properly sorted on
  79.  the printout.  It also checks for, and upgrades the database if needed.

  82. Added a menu choice to change printer fonts.
  83. Changed the way the program figures out the font size.
  84. The program now centers the listing in the page.  Also, cleaned up the print
  85.  routine some.  Started using DrawText, instead of TabbedTextOut, so the the
  86.  numbers are centered (or properly aligned) within their cells.
  87. Added an option to sort the printout by Styles.

  89. v1.60 - 01 Dec 92
  90. All of the main features of the program are now complete.  I just added a
  91.  search routine that searches on Artist, Title, or Song.  Double-clicking on
  92.  the results brings up the standard edit box.

  95. Found that when printing, depending on what you chose to do with groups, you
  96.   couldn't pick the other option without exiting the program.  Changed Field
  97.   names in the KeyMap routine to fix that.
  98. Discovered that putting a disc in the drive that wasn't in the database did
  99.   not fill the list box with the track info. Oops, forgot to unremark that
  100.   part of the code.

  103. No changes made to the program, just reversioned it for sale.

  106. Finally made the pause a "True" pause regardless if the drive supports it or
  107. not.  At this point, the routines are not fully tested...

  110. Well, tested the pause - Not good!  Pausing on the last track caused problems
  111. and pausing while it was programmed was disasterous.  Fixed it by giving up
  112. on the idea of manually starting the play again from the pause routine.  Now I
  113. just send the PlayCD command to the program.  Had to make some changes in the
  114. PlayCD routine, but it seems to work in all modes and on all tracks, now.

  116. v2.20 - 09 Jan 93
  117. Rewrote part of the Track Programming section. Instead of tacking the selected
  118. song on the end of the list, it puts it after the selection bar.  That way,
  119. tracks can be programmed and inserted in any order.
  120. Added a menu option to choose the database mode - Either single, or multi user
  121. (application actually) mode.

  124. Discovered that there was still a problem with pressing eject when a disc was
  125. playing.  Trying something else now.  Thanks Tom Mynar!

  128. Added the capability to store the programmed tracks.  Decided to use another
  129. database.  It's only open when programming tracks.  Still need to have the
  130. disc deleted from DB3 when a disc is deleted from the main database. Also,
  131. when selecting the program Tracks option, I need to have an option to use the
  132. saved program, or the currently created program.

  134. v2.31 - 15 Jan 93
  135. Sometimes, when programmed, and when the program is minimized, after changing
  136. tracks, the buttons would be reset as if the player stopped playing, even
  137. though it would playing the next track.  Hopefully, I fixed that.  It was rare
  138. when it happened, and it hasn't happened since I changed some things.
  139. Changed the mode text to be blue when in normal play, and red when playing in
  140. programmed mode.

  143. Added On-Line help.  As yet though, it is not context sensitive.
  144. There were also a few bug fixes:
  145. Well, the buttons weren't quite working right in programmed mode.  When pause
  146. was pressed, and then play was pressed, the right buttons would not enable and
  147. disable.  Fixed that by making the PlayCD procedure manually update the
  148. buttons instead of waiting for the timer routine to do it.
  149. Disabled the Program Tracks option when the pause button was pressed.  Ooh, 
  150. was that a mess when programming tracks in a paused state!
  151. When track programming, Pressing the ALL button seems to have left off the
  152. first track.  Forgot that listbox indexes start at 0, not at 1.

  155. Added buttons to make track programming possible with the keyboard.  Still
  156. need to add graphics to it though.
  157. Added a Mix button to select all of the disc's tracks in a random order.

  160. Added option to load the saved program if there is one, otherwise it will use
  161. the current program, or none if there isn't one.
  162. Added graphic arrows to the add and delete buttons on the program screen.
  163. Stopped disabling the delete button when the focus wasn't in that box.  It
  164. just made things confusing.

  167. Worked on the programming section again.  Now, when you select a song to go
  168. into the program box, it turns red.  Otherwise it stays black. These colors
  169. are not affected by the system wide settings, they are hard coded.
  170. Due to requests, I added the disc's title to the main window.

  172. v2.60 - 02 Feb 93
  173. Changed the way disc tracks are entered into the database.  Now, there is an
  174. "Update Button" to press (or Alt-U on the keyboard).  The button causes the
  175. list box to be updated and then it advances to the next item (If there is one)
  176. and puts that track in the edit box.  This replaces the previous way the
  177. program used to update the list box by detecting a change of focus on the
  178. screen.  The button may be more user friendly...
