- Please read the following important notes before trying the program.
- The OTHER INFORMATION part is a sort of a general quickhelp, which
- should point out some problems which you might encounter and how
- to fix them. Please read the MANUAL for complete descriptions regarding
- these facts.
-
-
- IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:
-
- 1. If your SoundBlaster has other interrupt than 7, you must specify
- it by modifying DP.BAT to following form:
- DIGIPLAY /I# %1 %2 %3 %4 %5
- where # is the interrupt number of your SoundBlaster card.
-
- 2. If the screen looks messy or ill-colored and you have an EGA,
- try adding a /F switch to DP.BAT
-
- 3. If some garbage appears, try using the keyboard mouse
- (add switch /K). Also try to remove your mouse driver
- if even this doesn't work.
-
- 4. Please read the manual if you have time.
-
-
- OTHER INFORMATION:
-
- To see all the switches, write DIGIPLAY /?.
- To make settings file, do a batch file DP.BAT containnig the correct
- switches.
-
- The switch for SoundBlaster interrupt is /I,
- use /I5 for interrupt 5, for example make a DP.BAT
- which would contain the following (example for Ep Piersma):
- DIGIPLAY /K /I5 %1 %2 %3 %4 %5
- /K specifies the keyboard mouse emulation, and /I5 the interrupt.
- You may add /P# (try 2 for example) to get different color.
-
- The default palette for EGA is a bit bright (EGA has a VERY limited
- palette you know) so you may need to adjust your monitors brightness
- control. You may also try selecting other palettes with command
- line switches.
-
- To get help inside program, you can either press F1 or push the
- 'Help' button on screen top-right corner.
-
- In keyboard mouse emulation, the KEYPAD arrows move the mousepointer,
- with SHIFT it goes faster, and INS is the left button, DEL the right one.
- The emulation works pretty much as a real mouse, and to drag, just hold
- INS or DEL down. The mouse accelerates slowly when moved without SHIFT,
- and has a steady speed with SHIFT (although faster than the starting
- speed without SHIF).
-
- If the sample starts playing ok, but the halts without no apparent
- reason, you probably have a wrong interrupt setting. (DigiPlayer
- defaults to IRQ 7).
