  5.  - New Installation. (Using HotSync)

  7. Install the underlisted files using the install application that is included with your 
  8. "Palm Pilot Desktop Organiser" software.

  10.      -   Shield.prc

  12. Please follow the underlisted steps to install any Palm Pilot application 
  13. ( <filename>.prc OR <filename>.pdb ) or refer to your Palm Pilot documentation (shipped with the device)

  19. Install the  Pilot Desktop organizing software,shipped orginally with the device, if you haven't done so.

  23. **************    INSTALLATION STEPS   ************************

  25. 1) Go to Pilot Desktop organizing software, shipped orginally with the device.
  26.     (Tip : Look for an icon Palm Desktop)
  27.  
  28. 2) Start the Palm Install tool.
  29.  
  30. 3) Click "Add" to browse and select the downloaded application.
  31.  
  32. 4) Click "Done".
  33.  
  34. 5) Place the Palm Device in the cradle.
  35.  
  36. 6) Press the HotSync button on the Palm Pilot.

  38.     ..............    the application will get transferred and is ready to use.

  53. 1) Simply activate the program and rest will be taken care by the program itself.

  55. 2) If you want to find out what will happen if an error occurs then please activate the shield and then choose any option of error and then tap the test button.

  58. ____Other useful tips
  59.  
  60. 1)  Don't forget to Deactivate the shield before deleting it. If you have forgot and deleted it then you should do soft reset to recover from this condition.

  62. 2)  Don't push try to push any buttons as this will result in further damage to your unit. This may vary from corrupted applications to hard reset of your device.
