  8. - ABOUT PASSPHRASE -

  10. Ever have trouble coming up with a new password?  PassPhrase helps you 
  11. choose secure passwords and passphrases for logins, encrypted data, web 
  12. sites, and so on.

  14. Each time you tap 'Generate', seven items are randomly selected from a 
  15. self-contained dictionary of over nine-thousand common words, numbers, 
  16. abbreviations, and symbols.  The selection is extremely random, using a 
  17. strong random-number generator seeded by the exact timing and position of 
  18. your stylus taps.

  20. PassPhrase offers nearly 7 octillion possible seven-item sequences! (An 
  21. 'octillion' is a 1 followed by 27 zeroes.)

  23. For added security, working memory is scrubbed when PassPhrase exits; no 
  24. trace of the selected phrase remains in the Palm's memory.

  29. A good password for an online system is two unrelated words joined by a 
  30. symbol, for example: "jumbo*gate"

  32. To properly secure encrypted data a pass-phrase of four or more words is 
  33. recommended, for example: "split envoy clove born mayhem"
