  1. PalmSafe for PalmPilot, version 1.02 - Trial Version

  4. This is the trial version of PalmSafe. It will allow you to try the program for a period
  5. of 30 days. After this period adding new or editing data will be inhibited.
  6. Check www.portableprojects.com for registration information, or mail to info@portableprojects.com.

  8. Installation:

  11. Extract PalmSafe.prc from the ZIP file and use your desktop's Palm Install Tool to install it
  12. to your device. Minimum OS required is 3.0.
  13.  
  14. Program features:

  17. PalmSafe stores confidential information like usernames and passwords.
  18. It uses the BlowFish encryption algorithm to encrypt data.
  19.  
  20. When the program is first started, you are asked to enter and confirm the Master Code.
  21. Please remember this code well since the data will be inaccessible without it.
  22.  
  23. Entering and editing data is done just like in the built-in Address application.
  24. All data is encrypted, except for the description field. This is done to keep the speed of
  25. the program acceptable during look-up and find's.
  26.  
  27. When using the PalmOS find function you will also be prompted for the Master Code before
  28. you will be allowed to view the find's result.

  30. The Master Code can be changed from the options menu, this conversion can take a while
  31. since all data has to be decrypted and encrypted using the new Master Code.

  33. The data in the currently selected category can be exported to the Memo Pad for printing after
  34. HotSync. Use this option with care since all data will be readable.

  36. In the preferences you can select if you want the last category to be remembered on the next
  37. start of PalmSafe.

  39. When the device is powered off, the program will be exited. When the program is started again,
  40. the Master Code needs to be entered again.
  41. This feature will prevent unauthorised access to the data.
