  9. If you already have an older version of AutoSync Helper installed
  10. please deactivate it before installing this version:

  12. 1. Deactivate AutoSync Helper in the HackMaster control panel
  13. 2. Install new version AutoSyncHelper.prc
  14. 3. Activate AutoSync Helper in the HackMaster control panel
  15.  
  16. Not doing so may cause problems with your Palm Device
  17.  
  18. What is AutoSync Helper ?
  19. --------------------------------------------------------------------
  20. AutoSync Helper is a HackMaster based application that assists 
  21. AutoSync by trapping certain OS routines so AutoSync can detect
  22. addition system state and therefore perform it's job in a differnt
  23. fashion.
  24.  
  25. Features added to AutoSync when AutoSync Helper is installed.
  26. 1) Auto Off when AutoSync wakes up the Palm Device to check for 
  27.    cradle and does not find it.
  28. 2) Disable Powered Cradle Check
  29.    For Palm Devices which do not have a Powered Cradle for charging
  30.    this feature is required.  For Palm Devices which do have a Powered 
  31.    Cradle (such as the PalmV and the PalmIIIc) this is useful for syncing 
  32.    with the Travel Kit, but is most likely not needed.

  35. Instructions
  36. ------------
  37. 1) Install HackMaster hackmstr.prc (If you do not have it installed already)
  38. 2) Install AutoSyncHelper.prc
  39. 3) Activate AutoSync Helper in HackMaster
  40.  
  41. How to activate AutoSync Helper Features
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------
  43. 1) Disable Powered Cradle check by selecting the preferences (+)
  44.    and selecting the check mark next to this option.
  45. 2) Auto Off feature is enabled by selecting the preferences (+)
  46.    and selecting the check mark next to this option.
  47. 3) The preferences (+) screen has a Wake Sensitivity selection
  48.    to help you tune AutoSyncHelper to your Palm Device.  Normal
  49.    devices whould set this option to "2 sec".  If you have a lot
  50.    of other HackMaster Hacks or speciality apps installed you may 
  51.    need to set this feature to a higher setting.)

  56. already done so.  HackMaster is a very usefull application for your Palm
  57. Device with many hacks being written by many developers.
