WeightLog Brief HandBook
************************
Starting WeightLog
----------------------
Install the "WeightLog.prc" file onto your PalmOS Device. For detailed
instructions as to how to accomplish this, consult your PalmOS manual.
After installation, tap on the "WeightLog" icon
If you have a registration number for WeightLog, Enter it here and tap
the "Register" button. Otherwise, enter the word "demo" and tap the register button.
Tap "done" to start WeightLog.
Targets
-----------
You start by setting up your weight targets.
1. Select the unit (pounds or kilograms).
2. Tap the start date box and select your starting date, or leave alone if your
starting date is "today".
3. Enter a starting weight.
4.Select the weight loss (or gain) rate from the picker. Leave alone if you just
want to maintain the current weight.
NOTE:
If you have entered these values in DietLog, you can import them.
Simply tap the "Import from DietLog" button on the targets screen.
5. BE SURE TO TAP THE "SET" BUTTON AFTER COMPLETING TARGETS.
Then tap "done" to exit back to the log page.
Entering Weights
-------------------
From the main Log Screen tap the "add weight" button (foot on scale icon).
The current date is already selected, tap to choose another date.
Enter weight for this date.
Tap the "Add" button.
You weight is added to your personal database.
Log Page
-------------
This is the list of your recorded weights.
Log pages are a month at a time.
To view a different month, use arrows (upper right) to scroll.
The start weight, goal weight and amount left to lose (or gain) is shown in
the top section of the screen.
At the bottom you will see a gauge.
The gauge tracks your progress toward your goal weight.
When the filled in portion reaches the right of the screen you will be at your
goal weight.
On the bottom left of the screen is a square button that will bring you to the
report button.
Next to the "add weight" button is the "graph" button, and next to this is your
"targets" button.
Change Weight Entrys
------------
Tap on a weight to review or change.
The entry screen is the same as you saw for a new weight.
Tap the "revise", "delete" or "cancel" buttons.
Report
-----------
Tap the "reports" button.
This screen is a summary of your weight loss progress.
It shows Start, Goal, and Last weights and dates.
It also lists total change to date, and what is left in terms of weight
and time.
Change to date is your actual weight gained or lost to date.
Left to goal is actual weight left to gain or lose.
Your goal rate is the weight loss or gain rate you selected.
Average to date is a weekly average of your actual loss or gain rate.
At the bottom of the screen is an estimate of when you will reach your
goal rate at your average weight gain or loss.
Tap "done" to leave this screen.
Graphs
--------
Tap the "graphs" icon to view graphs of your weight progress.
Tap on the "Graph" selector in the top left of the screen to select between
"Month" or Year".
Scales
======
The scale on the left side of the screen displays a Weight Range that you
are within.
The scale at the bottom of the screen displays the days of the month, or months
of the year, depending on your Graph choice.
Month View
==========
The box in the bottom right hand corner switches between Bar or Line Graphs
of your actual weight values.
Year View
=========
The box in the bottom right hand corner switches between Yearly Average (Bar
graph) or Yearly Actual (Line graph).
You can tap on the "Goal Lines" check box at the bottom of the screen to overlay
your plotted loss or gain.
Use the arrows beside the date at the top of the screen to change the date you
wish to graph.
Tap "Done" to leave this screen.
Registration
-----------------
To bring up the registration screen, tap the WeightLog icon on the upper
left corner of the main screen.
