For the first time you can hold entire encyclopedias on your Palm OS device. And dictionaries, and e-texts, and wine guides, and bibles, and movie guides and all of these files are free.
TomeRaider is already one of the most successful applications for the Palm the new features in TomeRaider 1.5 make it even better.

TomeRaider 1.5 Features
Versatility
The TR format can be used for anything from a small 4 chapter book to a 120,000 entry database. The fact that TR files are indexed means that normal etext books can be formatted in a chapter by chapter structure - much nicer than the single text chunk of normal etexts.
Speed
TomeRaider is the fastest way to get to knowledge and content. This is a bold claim but we think it is true. You can go from aardvark to zebra in under a second, even in one of the free 60000+ word dictionaries or encyclopedias. TomeRaider 1.5 is many many times faster than the last version (And that was blitzin)
Power
Try loading a 5 meg database into any other Palm applicationà oops. Unless its in TomeRaider format the machine just cant cope.
Compression
TomeRaider files are compressed by over 50%.
Bookmarks
TomeRaider files have bookmarks you can set and go to. Normal text files do not. Also TomeRaider always goes to the last place you were at in a file when restarting, handy for any e-texts you are reading.
Hyperlinks
TomeRaider files can have inline Hyperlinks making navigation a breeze.
Text Formatting
In TomeRaider 1.5 it is possible to have text formatting features such as underlined text.
File Variety
All TomeRaider files are free, and there is a wide range of files available, from Etexts to Encyclopedias, Dictionaries to Movie Guides. Have a look at MemoWare's 400+ TomeRaider files including Encyclopedias and Dictionaries.

Installing a TomeRaider file.
Once you have a TomeRaider file (It will have the extension *.tr) you need to install it onto your Palm so that TomeRaider can view it. By far the easiest way to do this is to use TomeRaider for Windows which can be downloaded from
www.tomeraider.com
You do not need to purchase TomeRaider for Windows to use the Export to Palm feature.
To install with the Windows version simply open the file in TomeRaider for Windows and select the option Export to Palm from the File menu. Then click save to save the file for export onto your hard-drive. After this you can select to add the file straight to your HotSync queue and give a title to the document as it will appear on your Palm.
After you have Hotsynced the file will be accessible from TomeRaider.
If you do not want to use TomeRaider for Windows we have provided an application called TRPimport.exe. This is available in the TomeRaider Palm zip file that you downloaded to get TomeRaider. Instructions are included.
Mac users, there is a free importer available from:
http://www.tomeraider.com/mac.htm
