Version 1.2 offers a display choice and converts the day's count to years, months and days. The years-months-days display is useful when events are far away from the current date (for example a days count of 1254 translates to 3 years, 5 months and 9 days).
DESCRIPTION
Days calculator relates today to significant events.
You may reference thisDay, today, to past and future events which are important to you. Remind yourself of how long it has been since you called your Mom, when you last changed the air filter in your house, or count down the days to your upcoming wedding or retirement. This program calculates how many days it has been since an event has happened, or how many days it will be until something happens in the future. thisDay is extremely easy to use and requires minimum input. Simply name an event and set a date. From then on each time this program is activated, each event will be shown with a day count relating the event and thisDay, today.
MAIN SCREEN
At the bottom left hand corner, tap the push button (Days OR Yr-Mon-Days) to select the display mode. The day's count is displayed or the day's count is converted to years, months and days.
To enter a new record into the database, tap the New button. When the new screen appears name the event. The default value for the new event is today's date. The event's date may be changed by tapping the Change_Date button. After the event's date is set, tap the Ok button to move the event into the database, or tap the Cancel button to abort entering a new event.
To modify or delete an event tap on the event's name. When the Update screen appears, you may rename the event, change its date or delete it. Tap under the event's name and enter a new name. Tap on the Change_Date button to set a different date. An updated event is entered into the database when the Ok button is pressed.
OPTIONS
Two options are offered when the menu is selected (lower left hand corner on the silk screen), Registration and About. Select the Registration option when you receive your full version of the program. At the registration screen, please enter the information that was emailed to you. First name, last name, email and code must be entered exactly as shown with no extra characters (no spaces or CRs). Special care must be paid to characters like upper case I and lower case letter l and the number 1, the number 0 and upper case letter O. Select the About option for a brief description of the program.
REGISTRATION
This program is offered free of charge but the user is encouraged to register. Only registered users are allowed to save more than 2 events.
