  1. Installing ThoughtManager(tm) Trial Version
  2.  
  3. The ThoughtManager Trial Version will let you try ThoughtManager for 30 days free. 
  4. After this time, you must purchase a registered copy to continue using 
  5. ThoughtManager.
  6.  
  7. Before Installing, please read the enclosed license agreement. 
  8. By using this software, you are agreeing to the terms of the 
  9. license. 
  10.  
  11. Also, please fill out the enclosed user survey. Your feedback 
  12. is very important to us, and vital to our ability to create great products.
  13.  
  14. If you are upgrading from a previouis version of ThoughtManager, DO NOT 
  15. delete the old version before installing, or you will lose your ThoughtManager 
  16. data.
  17.  
  18. If you are using the installer, simply follow the directions in the installer.
  19. If not, start the Palm Install Tool and drag the ThoughtManager.prc file on top
  20. of it. Then Hotsync.
  21.  
  22. ThoughtManager also comes with a number of outlines that will help you get started 
  23. using ThoughtManager. These outlines end in ".tmo.pdb". To load any of these into 
  24. your Palm, drag them to the Palm Install Tool window and then HotSync.
  25.  
  26. You will now find ThoughtManager in your list of applications, and you are ready 
  27. to go!

  30. If you are upgrading from ThoughtMill
  31.  
  32. Once you install ThoughtManager, tap on the ThoughtManager icon. Do not tap on
  33. the old ThoughtMill icon. Once ThoughtManager starts, it will automatically 
  34. import your outlines into ThoughtManager and delete the old ThoughtMill 
  35. from your Palm device.
  36.  
  37. If you do not see the ThoughtManager icon, and you are using a 3rd party
  38. launch program, temporarily turn off your 3rd party launcher and go tap
  39. on your Palm Applications icon to see the ThoughtManager icon. After you
  40. start ThoughtManager once, you can turn your 3rd party launcher back on.

  43. Minimum Requirements

  45. ThoughtManager requires Palm OS 3.0 or above. ThoughtManager will not run 
  46. on the PalmPilot Professional or Personal.

  50. Included is a User Manual in Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 format, suitable 
  51. for printing or online viewing. Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free program 
  52. available on the Internet. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 
  53. installed, you can download it at:

  57. If you are viewing the manual, you may want to do the following 
  58. to help you navigate and view the files easier:

  60. 1) Choose Preferences->General from the File menu and make sure that 
  61. the checkbox titled "Smooth Text and Monochrome Bitmaps" is NOT 
  62. checked. This will make the text more readable on the screen.
  63.  
  64. If you open the manual with an older version of Acrobat Reader, you 
  65. will get an error message.

  68. Beam to a Friend
  69.  
  70. If you ever want to let someone try your software, you can beam it
  71. to another Palm device, if both have infrared capability. You will
  72. be beaming the trial version of the software. Tap the Applications 
  73. button and choose Beam from the menu.
