PALM HARDWARE:
Any Palm/Handspring/Symbol handheld computer
This product supports the barcoding capability of the Symbol SPT1500/1700
It is NOT a prerequisite to have a Symbol SPT1500/1700 as product codes etc
can be manually entered rather than scanned.

INSTALLATION
============
Here is a check list to ensure a successful installation:
1. Double click on easyInventory2.exe and follow onscreen instructions. The first time you install a product from the easyAPPS range you will be instructed to restart your computer and then double click on easyInventory2.exe again. (This is to register certain libraries with your system and will happen only once).
2. You will then be shown a list of all the Palm users that have been set up on your computer. Select the user who will be operating easyInventory2 and click 'OK'.
3. After the installation program has finished saving the relevant files, place the user's Palm into the cradle press the hotsync button.
4. easyInventory2 is now ready for use.
BRIEF PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Inventory checking using your Palm computer by selecting items from a list OR by barcode scanning. Simply supply a lookup file (simple spreadsheet database) of all your products and easyInventory2 will help you manage your inventory. A sample lookup file is supplied to enable you to evaluate this software with ease.

An inventory check can be done by scanning in an item number or by selecting the item description from a list. The user can switch between modes at any time. The database stores a accumulating quantity. Each time the item is selected, the entered quantity is added to the stored total.
Collected data can be saved to a host PC at anytime. This is acheived by simply pressing the hotsync button and the dedicated conduit automatically transfers the data.

easyInventory2 is a fully functional demo version. You can use the supplied sample data (or provide your own) to test the functionality. Inventory data can be collected on the Palm unit but when hot synced back to the PC, every third data record will be corrupted.
