Just press F1 and type out a word or whatever (you can use any key on your keybaord! they all have ascii values), then press enter and listen to your tune. Easy.
HOW DID YOU MAKE IT STEVIE?
===========================
Well, I went through my samples drawer one day and decided it would be fun to have random samples played at different intervals. I made collections of Bass Drums, Snares, Hihats & some other noises and stuck them all in a folder. I then started work on Crakbone, which basically loads a random Drum, Snare, Hihat etc and plays it from a set of pre-defined patterns. The results were quite rubbish at first, but the more samples I added, the better it got. I also added pitch changing which gave it a whole new sound. I think its quite good now, and can come up with some pretty funky lil tunes!
HOW DOES IT PLAY THE SAME TUNE EACH TIME I TYPE OUT CERTAIN WORD?
That was the clever(ish) part. When you press F1 and type out a word, Crakbone takes the ascii values from each letter in that word and does a lil mathematics which produces an end result. That end result is then considered the "seed" for all random number producing. Computers will always pick the same numbers depending on what "seed" was set. The part I liked about this is that if you find a cool tune, you can tell someone else the word which produced it!
WHY IS THERE NEVER ANY NOISE FROM THE "MISC" CHANNEL?
