- How to play Capsule (c) Jani Immonen 1998
- -----------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- Object of the game.
-
- Your mission is simple. Get rid of the bugs on the screen! This you
- do by positioning the capsules dropping from top of the screen on the
- top or to the side of bugs. There are three differently colored bugs.
- The capsules are in two sections each section contains one of the
- three bug colors. When four or more sections/bugs of the same color
- are in line, either horizontally or vertically they disappear, scoring
- you points. You complete a level by removing all the bugs, then you
- can move to next level. There are 25 levels to play.
-
- If you remove three or more bugs at one time, you get a special capsule
- as a reward. When you get a special capsule you'll hear a short tune.
- There are two kinds of special capsule:
-
- 1. Special Capsule - Flasher
- When you place Flasher on top of a capsule, all capsules of that color
- will disappear. Flasher doesn't have any effect on bugs. Flasher is
- especially useful in clearing large piles of capsules.
-
- 2. Special Capsule - Bomber
- With Bomber you can bomb a bug to remove it. This you achieve
- by pressing the turning key (CTRL or SPACE). Bomber is effective in
- removing bugs, but it doesn't have any effect on capsules on screen.
- If a bug is hiding under a capsule, you can't bomb it.
-
- If you haven't removed any bugs for some time, the speed capsules drop
- will increase until you remove more bugs. The time remaining until the
- next speed change is displayed at the bottom righthand of the screen.
- When you reach level 15 and above, the speed will increase even after
- you have removed some of the bugs - just to make things a bit more
- interesting!
-
- The game ends if capsules fill up your screen, or if you pass level 25!
- -----------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- Split Screen - Two-player Game.
-
- When playing the two player game, the object is to clear the level
- before opponent does. You win a round if you remove all your bugs
- first or your opponent's screen fills up. If you win a special
- capsule during the two-player game, your opponent receives between
- 1 & 5 teasing capsules. Teasing capsules drop down uncontrollably
- and land randomly.
-
- Note that in the two-player game, Player 1 is on the left and Player2
- is on right. Player 1 controls the capsules with the X (left),
- V (right), C (fast drop), Q (turn anticlockwise) and W (turn clockwise)
- keys, Player 2 controls the capsules with the arrow, CTRL and SPACE
- keys.
