Important last-minute information:
The only really important thing this time is the spiffy new hotlist/menu
user interface... No more handediting the .INI file to alter the configureable
menus! Just choose "Menu Editor..." from the "Navigate" menu. A quick overview
of the editor follows:
The editor window has two main list boxes - the Menu list and the Item list. The
Menu list shows your entire configureable menu hierarchy, but not the items in
those menus. To see/edit/delete those items, click (once) on the menu the item
resides in. This will pop up the items in that menu in the Item list. To edit
an item, doubleclick on it or select it (single-click) and press the "Edit" button.
To delete an item, select it and press "Delete". To edit a menu, select the menu
in the Menu list and click "Edit". To insert a new item, click on the item you
want to insert the new item before (if no item is selected, the item is appended
to the end) and click "Insert". To insert a new TOP-LEVEL menu (so it appears on
the menu bar), select the blank line in the Menu list and click "Insert".
The "Current Hotlist" that now appears in the Open URL dialog and the Menu Editor
is the list to which "Add Current to Hotlist" appends items. The "QUICKLIST" is
the old-format Hotlist, except that it can now handle titles in items. To add
titles to the items you already have in your hotlist, go into the menu editor,
click on "QUICKLIST" in the Menu List, and doubleclick (or singleclick and press
"Edit") on the item you want to add a title to.
If you want to make it so your "hotlist" (i.e., the "Add Current to..." list)
appears in the menu somewhere, create a menu for it, and then select it as your
"Current Hotlist" (either in the menu editor or from the Open URL dialog.) Note
that 1) The Open URL dialog now can show your other menus instead of just the
QuickList, and 2) You are now able to select items in the Open URL box by title,
instead of just URL.
