  4. Your Installation is Complete!
  5.  
  6. In just a few seconds, Paltalk will come up on your screen for the
  7. first time.  If you're a new Paltalk user, pick the 'Register New
  8. User' option and type in your registration information.  NOTE:  If
  9. your internet connection is not activated right now, paltalk will
  10. wait until you connect and then start up.
  11.  
  12. Paltalk was installed in your windows start menu program directory.
  13. From now on, simply click "start", "programs", find the Paltalk
  14. folder and run Paltalk.exe.
  15.  
  16. Thank you for your interest and remember to send paltalk to a friend.
  17. If you have any questions, you can access the help menu in the program
  18. or go to Paltalk.com and click on the help area.

  23. !! NEW FEATURES !!

  26. 1.  File Transfer:  You can send a file to an online friend by right-clicking
  27. their name and selecting 'File Transfer'.  Then pick a file from your desktop
  28. machine and send it along!  It's that simple...
  29.  
  30. 2.  Control-key talk button.  Now you can easily use the Control-key to talk and 
  31. listen with paltalk.  Take the program off of Voice Activation/Hands Free mode.
  32. Then when you're connected to someone, just press and hold the Control-key while
  33. you're talking and release when you're done talking.  We hope you find this
  34. an easier mode of operation.

  36. Quick Tips:

  38. To Talk:
  39. When you open the program, online users will appear in bold type.  To
  40. call a user, double click on their name.  Once they answer, click the
  41. talk button on the bottom right to speak and click the listen button
  42. to listen.

  44. To Hangup:
  45. Click on the phone icon on the bottom to hangup.
  46.  
  47. To Real Time Text Chat:
  48. Single click a highlighted user and then click on the text button on
  49. the bottom left of the program.  You can also send text messages to
  50. offline users which will be stored until the offline user logs on.
  51.  
  52. To Add Users:
  53. Click the "Add" tab, fill out any information you know, and click
  54. "search". You need not put in full names, even a single letter will
  55. suffice.
  56.  
  57. Right Click Menu:
  58. All functions are also accessible with a right click menu which may
  59. be seen by right clicking on a user (whether online or offline).

  61. Help Screen:
  62. There is extensive help which may be accessed by clicking the "Menu Tab"
  63. and then selecting help.
  64.  
  65. Voice Activation:
  66. This feature may be selected by clicking on "Menu" and then clicking 
  67. "Voice Activation".  This feature will allow you to talk hands free
  68. without clicking "talk" and "listen" after each transmission.
  69. Voice activation is extensively explained in the help section.

  71. Send Paltalk:
  72. You can send Paltalk to a friend by clicking "Menu" and then clicking
  73. "Send Paltalk".  A dialog box will then be displayed for you to input
  74. your pals email address.

  79. Paltalk supports the Internet Standard RTP or Real Time Transport
  80. Protocol to create real time audio communication via the internet.
  81. Paltalk uses GSM compression and decompression which was developed
  82. by Jutta Degener and Carsten Bormann of the Technical University of
  83. Berlin.  Finally, Paltalk utilizes the MD5 message digest algorithm
  84. which is credited to Ron Rivest and is in the public domain.
