  4. that are up to date September 97 or better.

  17. It has been tested on Windows 95 (A and B Versions) and found to be stable
  18. on the machines it was tested on. Mike Phelps and/or MR Phelps Enterprises

  20. will act/perform on YOUR computer.

  27. What it is/does
  28.  
  29. Web Time 2.0 Free Beta is simply that....A program to time your web usage. 
  30. You can use it to make sure you don't go over your monthly allowed time or 
  31. to see how addicted you (or the kids) really are to the net :-)

  33.     It keeps total time...until you reset it.
  34.     It times the current connection.
  35.     It lets you set an alarm time (on or off the web).
  36.     Set it to clear your times on a specified day of the month.
  37.     Connect to the web from it.
  38.     Create shortcuts to the Desktop and Startup Group automatically.

  42. This program is currently for Windows 95 only.  The most important features
  43. do work in Windows NT 4.0, but a couple of the lesser important DO NOT.

  45. This program is FREEWARE. You may use and distribute it any way you want,
  46. as long as you DO NOT disassemble, recompile, change or infect it with 
  47. viruses.This program may be distributed on the condition that it is
  48. distributed in full and unchanged, and that no fee is charged for
  49. such distribution with the exception of reasonable shipping and media
  50. charges.

  52. A .Dep file is included in the directory you setup the program in, which
  53. tells you what files are included/needed.

  57. Unzip this file to any folder and run Setup.exe. You may be required to 
  58. reboot and re-run setup if these newer Visual Basic files were needed.
  59. After Setup and rebooting, you can delete the unzipped files.

  63. Once setup, right click on the icon in the system tray. You have several
  64. choices.
  65.  
  66. 1) Create Shortcut.
  67.    Makes shortcuts to the Desktop and Startup Group.
  68.  
  69. 2) Set Alarm
  70.     Let's you set an alarm time to notify you when to "Get Off Line".
  71.     You must enter the time according to your system time. (EX= 02:15 or 2:15 or 14:15)
  72.     You can see this by looking at the clock in your system tray (bottom right corner
  73.     Of the screen. AM/PM is not necessary and will not be accepted in the text box.

  75. 3) Show Me/Hide Me
  76.    Puts the program on the screen for viewing / Sends the form back to the 
  77.    tray, out of your way.
  78.    Right click on the form or the tray icon to see the popup  menu. 
  79.    The menu changes depending on weather the form is in the tray or on the 
  80.    screen.

  82. 4) Clear Time.
  83.     Set's times to 00:00:00.

  85. 5) Disable.
  86.    Disables the timer that watches for your dialup connection and stops 
  87.    the timer.

  89. 6) Connect To Web
  90.     Pretty self explanatory.  If you connect to the web by means of another application
  91.     You will not be able to use Web Time 2.0 to disconnect that connection, however
  92.     as long as your connection is a Windows 95 Dialup connection, Web Time 2.0 will
  93.     time it.

  95. 7) Exit - Self explanatory.

  98. Deleting Shortcuts
  99.  
  100. 1)To delete the shortcut to your "Startup Group" complete the following:
  101.     A. Click on Start\Settings\Taskbar...
  102.     B. Click on the "Start Menu Programs" tab.
  103.     C. Click on the "Remove" button.
  104.     D. Click the "+" next to the "Startup" folder.
  105.     E. Click on "Shortcut to Web Time 2.0".
  106.     F. Click the "Remove" button.

  108. Delete Desktop shortcut
  109.  
  110. 2)To delete the shortcut to your "Desktop" complete the following:
  111.     A. Right click on the "Shortcut to Web Time 2.0" icon.
  112.     B. Choose delete from the menu.
  113.             OR
  114.     A. Left click on the "Shortcut to Web Time 2.0" icon.
  115.     B. Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard.

  119. UnInstalling this program
  120.  
  121. Web Time 2.0 can be uninstalled by using the normal Windows 95 uninstall.
  122. To uninstall the Web Time 2.0 application complete the following:
  123.     A. Click Start\Settings\Control Panel.
  124.     B. Double click on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon.
  125.     C. Find "Web Time 2.0" in the list and click on it.
  126.     D. Click the "Add/Remove" button and follow any instructions.

  129. WebTim20.Ini File 
  130.  
  131. This application maintains an WebTim20.Ini file in your Windows folder.
  132. This .Ini file can be deleted without harm to your system or the 
  133. application.
  134. If it is deleted, you will simply have to reset a few settings the next time
  135. you start the application.
  136. It is possible that this file may not be deleted during an uninstall. If 
  137. this is true then you can simply use "File Explorer" to navigate your way 
  138. to your "Windows" folder, find "WebTim20.ini" and delete it.
