  18. This file provides information for Shareware Distributors, Disk & CD ROM
  19. Vendors, and Computer Clubs who wish to distribute the Coeli software package.

  31.                          Distribution Requirements

  34. Individuals who wish to distribute the Coeli package to friends or
  35. associates may do so in accordance with the restrictions outlined in
  36. LICENSE.TXT.
  37.  
  38. Computer Clubs and User Groups wishing to add the Coeli package to
  39. their disk library may do so in accordance with the Distribution
  40. Restrictions listed below.

  44. Limited Distribution License:

  47. As the exclusive copyright holder for Stella 2000, Swimming Elk Software
  48. authorizes distribution only in accordance with the following restrictions.
  49.  
  50. ASP Approved Vendors in good standing are hereby given permission to
  51. distribute the Stella 2000 package. Non-ASP member vendors must request
  52. permission prior to distributing this package.
  53.  
  54. The Stella 2000 package is defined as containing all the material listed
  55. in the VENDINFO.DIZ file. If any files listed in VENDINFO.DIZ, or 
  56. VENDINFO.DIZ itself, are missing, then the package is not complete and 
  57. distribution is prohibited.  Please contact us to obtain a complete package 
  58. suitable for distribution.

  60. The Stella 2000 package - including all related program files and
  61. documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any way and must be distributed
  62. as a complete package, without exception. The VENDINFO.DIZ information file
  63. contains a list of all files forming part of the Coeli package.
  64.  
  65.    Small additions to the package, such as the introductory or installation
  66.    batch files used by many shareware disk vendors, are acceptable.
  67.  
  68. No price or other compensation may be charged for the Stella 2000
  69. package.  A distribution fee may be charged for the cost of the diskette,
  70. shipping and handling, as long as the total (per disk) does not exceed
  71. US$8.00 in the U.S. and Canada, US$12.00 for international distribution from
  72. inside the U.S., or 6 GBP within Europe.

  74. Disk Sets & CD-ROMs:

  76. The  package CANNOT be sold as part of some other inclusive
  77. package.  Nor can it be included in any commercial software packaging
  78. offer, without requesting permission from Swimming Elk Software.

  80.    ASP Approved Vendors who wish to distribute the Coeli package
  81.    as part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM
  82.    package) may do so provided that all the other restrictions are met.

  84.    Vendors (non-ASP Vendor Members) who wish to distribute the
  85.    Coeli package as part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk
  86.    set, or a CD-ROM package) must obtain permission from Swimming Elk Software
  87.    prior to beginning such a distribution.

  89.    If you wish to add any of our programs to a CD-ROM or other collection,
  90.    please check the date stamps on the version you have.  If the version
  91.    is over three (3) months old then please contact us to ensure that you
  92.    have the most current version.

  95. Disk-of-the-Month (or Subscription) Distribution:

  97. If you would like to distribute the Coeli package as a Disk-of-
  98. the-Month, or as part of a subscription or monthly service, then the
  99. following restrictions apply:

  101.    ASP Associate (Disk Vendor) Members in good standing are hereby given
  102.    permission to distribute the Coeli package under the Disk-of-
  103.    the-Month style of distribution.
  104.  
  105.    Others (non-ASP Members) must contact us in advance to ensure that you
  106.    have the most current version of the software.
  107.  
  108.    You cannot use a Disk-of-the-Month distribution to use up your inventory
  109.    of old (out of date) disks.  Only current versions may be shipped as
  110.    Disk-of-the-Month disks.

  112. The PRINTED User's Guide may not be reproduced in whole or in part, using
  113. any means, without the written permission of Swimming Elk Software.  In other
  114. words, the disk-based documentation may not be distributed in PRINTED
  115. (hardcopy) form.
  116.  
  117. The Stella 2000 package cannot be "rented" or "leased" to others.
  118.  
  119. You may not list any of our products in advertisements, catalogs, or other
  120. literature which describes our products as "FREE SOFTWARE".  Shareware is
  121. "Try-Before-You-Buy" commercial software, it is not free.
  122.  
  123. Swimming Elk Software prohibits the distribution of outdated versions of the
  124. Stella 2000 package, without written permission from Swimming Elk Software.
  125. If the version you have is over three (3) months old, please contact us
  126. to ensure that you have the most current version (please check the date
  127. stamps on the files that you have).
  128.  
  129. Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
  130. disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed program
  131. except as provided in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized use shall
  132. result in immediate and automatic termination of this license.

  135. Distributors are especially asked to avoid the following terms when 
  136. describing the Coeli software package:
  137.  
  138. nag, nagware, free, freeware, free software, free shareware, public domain, 
  139. demo, demonstration software, or any other term which admits of an 
  140. interpretation not in keeping with the official product definition given.
  141.  
  142. Non-compliance with this request may invalidate previous licence 
  143. permissions granted by Swimming Elk Software to the distributor (Licensee).
  144.  
  145. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to Swimming Elk Software.

  151. Fully and continuously functioning evaluation software package distributed 
  152. via shareware channels, hereafter to be designated as Shareware or Shareware package.

  156. ShareW.txt included as part of the Stella 2000 software package.
