  17. This file contains information regarding the posting of the Stella 2000 software
  18. package on Bulletin Board Systems and Internet ftp sites.

  30. OFFICIAL PRODUCT DEFINITION:

  33. Fully and continuously functioning evaluation software package distributed 
  34. via shareware channels, hereafter to be designated as Shareware, Shareware 
  35. package, or Stella 2000 software package.
  36.  
  37. For definitions and explanations pertaining to matters of copyright and
  38. shareware distribution, we would direct you to the files Shr-ware.doc and
  39. ShareW.txt included as part of the Stella 2000 software package.

  43. Limited Distribution License:
  44. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  45. As the exclusive copyright holder for Stella 2000, Swimming Elk Software
  46. authorizes on-line distribution only in accordance with
  47. the following restrictions.  Disk Vendors and Distributors should
  48. refer to the VENDOR.TXT text file for complete license information.
  49.  
  50. The Stella 2000 software package is defined as containing all the
  51. material listed in the VENDINFO.DIZ file.  If any files
  52. listed in VENDINFO.DIZ, or VENDINFO.DIZ itself, are missing, then the 
  53. package is not complete and distribution is prohibited. Please contact 
  54. us directly or navigate to our Web site to obtain a complete package 
  55. suitable for distribution.

  57.     o  The Stella 2000 package - including all related program, data,
  58.        and documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any way
  59.        (other than that mentioned in the following paragraph)
  60.        and must be distributed as a complete package, without
  61.        exception.  VENDINFO.DIZ contains a list of all files 
  62.        which form part of the Coeli package.
  63.  
  64.     o  Many sites customarily add a small text file
  65.        (advertisement) to each archived file. This text file
  66.        describes the site and tells people that the file was
  67.        downloaded from that particular site. Other sites add a
  68.        small one-line message with their site name and phone
  69.        number into the compressed file, which will display when
  70.        the file is uncompressed. Either of these methods of
  71.        mentioning your BBS or ftp site are acceptable and may
  72.        be used, provided the program and documentation is 
  73.        otherwise unmodified and complete.

  75.     o  Swimming Elk Software prohibits the distribution of outdated
  76.        versions of the Stella 2000 shareware package without written
  77.        permission from Swimming Elk Software. If the version you
  78.        have obtained is over three (3) months old, please
  79.        contact us or navigate to our Web site to ensure you have 
  80.        the most current version.

  82.     o  Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify,
  83.        decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or
  84.        transfer the licensed program or its related files except 
  85.        as provided in this agreement. Any such unauthorized use 
  86.        shall result in immediate and automatic termination of 
  87.        this license.

  89.     o  Licensee hereby agrees not to post the Stella 2000 software package
  90.        publicly in an ftp directory inappropriate to its category.
  91.        Eg. pc/astronomy is an appropriate directory; pc/demo is not.

  94. Distributors are particularly asked to avoid the following terms when 
  95. describing the Stella 2000 software package:
  96.  
  97. free, freeware, free software, free shareware, nag, nagware, public domain, 
  98. demo, demonstration software, or any other term or phrase which admits of an 
  99. interpretation not in keeping with the official product definition given.
  100.  
  101. Non-compliance with this request may invalidate previous license 
  102. permissions granted by Swimming Elk Software to the distributor (Licensee).
  103.  
  104. Licensee may not attribute authorship of the Stella 2000 software package
  105. to any name but Swimming Elk Software.

  108. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to Swimming Elk Software.
