  16. licensing, FTP Voyager features, and information on contacting Rhino

  19. Introducing FTP Voyager
  20. ----------------------
  21. FTP Voyager is a program that makes using FTP much simpler.  The
  22. explorer-like graphical interface is intuitive to Windows users, and
  23. makes transferring files via FTP a snap.  FTP Voyager runs on Windows 95
  24. and Windows NT 4.X.

  26. License Terms
  27. -------------
  28. FTP Voyager is shareware.  This means that it is OK to download and
  29. evaluate the program for free, but continued use requires a license.
  30. Your registration and payment means we can continue development and
  31. free distribution of the program.

  33. Registration entitles you to e-mail support and upgrades for a year.

  46. Program Features
  47. ------------
  48. FTP Voyager is modeled after the Windows Explorer graphical interface,
  49. making it easy to learn and easy to use.  The following features are
  50. designed to make everyday use of FTP fast and efficient.
  51.  
  52.  - Session management makes it easy to connect to the FTP server of your
  53.    choice and to keep a directory of frequented sites.
  54.  
  55.  - Getting files from, or putting files to a server is as simple as
  56.    selecting a file and dragging it to the desired directory or
  57.    clicking on the command you desire.  There's no need to remember
  58.    the command set of the FTP program.
  59.  
  60.  - Navigating the remote system is made much simpler with a graphical
  61.    display of the server's file tree.
  62.  
  63.  - Multiple files may be selected for transfer, including directories.
  64.  
  65.  - Drag and Drop is in available now!  Drag and Drop allows you to simply
  66.    drag a file or directory to the Windows desktop or to the Windows
  67.    explorer.  Or you can drag from the Windows Explorer and drop on you
  68.    FTP site!

  70.  - Remember that registration of the program entitles you to one year
  71.    support and upgrades.

  73. INSTALLATION
  74. ------------
  75. Run the self-extracting file FtpVoyager.exe to unzip the files into a
  76. temporary directory.  Change into that directory (\FtpVoyagerSetup) and
  77. run setup.  The installation wizard will guide you through the install
  78. process.  After installation the setup directory may be deleted.

  80. Please check our web site occasionally for updates.  Several enhanced
  81. features are planned for future releases.

  83. ERRATA
  84. ------
  85.  - Using spaces in folder names causes problems.  The folder with a space
  86.    in its name appears correctly, however it is impossible to navigate
  87.    to that folder.  This appears to be a problem in the WININET DLL from
  88.    Microsoft.  The problem is currently being looked into.
  89.  
  90.  - Drag and Drop into applications does not work.  It eventually times
  91.    out giving an error message.  This may be corrected in a future
  92.    release.
  93.  
  94.  - Opening or viewing files will leave a copy of the file in the "TEMP"
  95.    directory (usually C:\TEMP or C:\WINDOWS\TEMP).
