  5. This file provides information for anyone who wishes to distribute the
  6. evaluation version of WinZip 8.0, including an extract from the license
  7. agreement and a suggested program description.

  11. The complete license agreement is contained in the file LICENSE.TXT.
  12. The following paragraph is an extract from the license agreement
  13. regarding the distribution of the evaluation version of WinZip:

  18.  |         personally to anyone, except for the purpose of extending
  19.  |         their 21 day evaluation period;

  23.  |     c)  make as many exact copies of this evaluation version of
  24.  |         WinZip as you wish, for purposes of distribution as

  34.                       Obtaining the Latest Version

  36. Before distributing WinZip please verify that you have the latest
  37. version.  The latest version of WinZip is always available on the
  38. WinZip web site at www.winzip.com.

  40. The normal filenames for WinZip 8.0 are:

  42.    winzip80.exe - filename on WinZip web site
  43.    winzip95.exe - this was the filename for versions 6.0-6.3, and
  44.                   is still a good choice
  45.    wz32v800.exe - for sites that want full version info in filenames

  53. WinZip is a powerful and easy to use utility for working with Zip files
  54. and other compression formats.

  56. WinZip features include:

  58. 32-Bit Windows support, including tight integration with the Windows
  59. shell.  Drag and drop to or from the Explorer, or zip and unzip without
  60. leaving the Explorer.

  62. Internet file format support, including built-in support for Zip, GZIP,
  63. TAR, UUencode, XXencode, BinHex, and MIME.

  65. An interface to the Internet Browser Support Add-On, which lets you
  66. download and open zip files from the Internet with one click.

  68. WinZip Wizard:  This optional feature uses the standard and familiar
  69. wizard interface to simplify the process of zipping, unzipping and

  72. Automatic installation of most software distributed in Zip files:
  73. If a Zip file contains a "setup" or "install" program, WinZipÆs
  74. Install feature will unzip the files, run the installation
  75. program, and clean up temporary files.

  78. convenient list that is sorted by date, making it easier to locate all
  79. Zip files, regardless of where they came from or where they are stored.
