- Short: DBLPAL:825x564 monitor driver for AGA
- Author: martinsemail@home.se (Martin Eriksson)
- Uploader: martinsemail@home.se (Martin Eriksson)
- Type: hard/drivr
- Version: 1.0
-
- REQUIREMENTS:
-
- - The MIPrefs-program from aminet/util/misc/MonSpecsMUI.lha
- - DBLPal-monitor-driver from AmigaOS3.1 (OS3.9 works also)
-
- DESCRIPTION:
-
- For some years I've been using DBLPAL Highres
- No Flicker 720x564 thanx to some hacks I found on
- Aminet. I thought this was the absolute maximum.
-
- But recently I happend to chat with a dude on a
- Swedish Amiga IRC-channel. He said that he'd got
- 738x566 with help of a program named 'PatchOverscan',
- also found on Aminet.
- I tried that, but I didn't
- succeed to get that view. It made it possible 2 change
- the overscan limits of NOMINAL MAXIMUM and VIDEO to
- whatever values. I donno, I maybe did something wrong :P
-
- Anyway, then I found a program named 'MonSpecsMUI'
- also on Aminet, similar to MonED, that gives access to
- monitorsettings and also overscanlimits and much more.
-
- I increased the overscanlimits so I could later
- increase text-overscan in SYS:Prefs/Overscan further.
-
- I used 'Save and quit'-button in the MonSpecsMUI-
- program.
-
- I put this two lines somewhere after IPrefs in my
- S:Startup-Sequence
-
- SYS:Prefs/Overscan USE
- MIPrefs
-
- Then I executed SYS:Prefs/Overscan and maximized the
- text-overscan to the limits I sat earlier with the
- MonSpecsMUI-program. Then I saved the new Overscan
- prefs and Rebooted.
-
- After that I got a 825x564 Workbench Screen
-
- Perhaps it's possible 2 stretch it some more.
- I don't know :)
-
- It works fine for me but and I should work for you but...
- I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMEGES CAUSED BY THIS SOFTWARE
- OR BY THE INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS!
-
-
- INSTALLATION:
-
- Copy all the files in DblPal_ME/ to your Sys: respective directories
- and keep the VGAOnly and VGAOnly.info in your Sys:Devs/Monitors/
- Maybe it works, but I havn't test without it.
-
- Copy the file 'MIPrefs' to C: from the 'MonSpecsMUI.lha'-archive that
- can be found on Aminet.
-
- Make a backup of your old files before if you think you'll need them
- in the future. Copy them to a any place you prefer.
-
- Put this lines in your S:Startup-Sequence somewhere after IPrefs
-
- SYS:Prefs/Overscan USE
- MIPrefs
-
- The MIPrefs-program comes from 'MonSpecsMUI.lha' on Aminet. It's not
- included in this archive so you have to download it yourselfe.
- It's needed!
-
- Then just reboot.
-
- If it's not working for any strange reason, please read the manuals
- of MonSpecsMUI and MIPrefs.
-
- Good luck!
