  9.   -  The MIPrefs-program from aminet/util/misc/MonSpecsMUI.lha
  10.   -  DBLPal-monitor-driver from AmigaOS3.1 (OS3.9 works also)

  12. DESCRIPTION:
  13.  
  14.   For some years I've been using DBLPAL Highres
  15.   No Flicker 720x564 thanx to some hacks I found on
  16.   Aminet. I thought this was the absolute maximum.
  17.  
  18.        But recently I happend to chat with a dude on a
  19.   Swedish Amiga IRC-channel. He said that he'd got
  20.   738x566 with help of a program named 'PatchOverscan',
  21.   also found on Aminet.
  22.                           I tried that, but I didn't
  23.   succeed to get that view. It made it possible 2 change
  24.   the overscan limits of NOMINAL MAXIMUM and VIDEO to
  25.   whatever values. I donno, I maybe did something wrong :P
  26.  
  27.        Anyway, then I found a program named 'MonSpecsMUI'
  28.   also on Aminet, similar to MonED, that gives access to
  29.   monitorsettings and also overscanlimits and much more.
  30.  
  31.         I increased the overscanlimits so I could later
  32.   increase text-overscan in SYS:Prefs/Overscan further.
  33.  
  34.         I used 'Save and quit'-button in the MonSpecsMUI-
  35.   program.

  37.   I put this two lines somewhere after IPrefs in my
  38.   S:Startup-Sequence
  39.  
  40.   SYS:Prefs/Overscan USE
  41.   MIPrefs
  42.  
  43.   Then I executed SYS:Prefs/Overscan and maximized the
  44.   text-overscan to the limits I sat earlier with the
  45.   MonSpecsMUI-program. Then I saved the new Overscan
  46.   prefs and Rebooted.
  47.  
  48.   After that I got a 825x564 Workbench Screen 
  49.  
  50.   Perhaps it's possible 2 stretch it some more.

  58. INSTALLATION:
  59.  
  60.   Copy all the files in DblPal_ME/ to your Sys: respective directories
  61.   and keep the VGAOnly and VGAOnly.info in your Sys:Devs/Monitors/
  62.   Maybe it works, but I havn't test without it.

  64.   Copy the file 'MIPrefs' to C: from the 'MonSpecsMUI.lha'-archive that
  65.   can be found on Aminet.

  67.   Make a backup of your old files before if you think you'll need them
  68.   in the future. Copy them to a any place you prefer.

  70.   Put this lines in your S:Startup-Sequence somewhere after IPrefs
  71.  
  72.   SYS:Prefs/Overscan USE
  73.   MIPrefs
  74.  
  75.   The MIPrefs-program comes from 'MonSpecsMUI.lha' on Aminet. It's not
  76.   included in this archive so you have to download it yourselfe.
  77.   It's needed!

  79.   Then just reboot.

  81.   If it's not working for any strange reason, please read the manuals
  82.   of MonSpecsMUI and MIPrefs.
