Using WordPerfect documentation
WordPerfect includes online and paper documentation to help you learn and use the application efficiently. The following is a list of the types of Help that WordPerfect provides:
Online-lets you quickly retrieve all the information you need and then return to your work. Help displays in a separate window on your screen. For quick access, you can keep the Help window displayed on top of the application window. You can also print specific topics from the online Help system.
Context-sensitive Help-lets you view information that is relevant to the task you are currently performing. Context-sensitive Help provides help for menu commands, toolbar buttons, dialog boxes, and dialog box controls.
QuickTips-lets you view information about icons and buttons on the toolbars, and about the menu commands.
WordPerfect macros Help-gives you detailed information about working with macros.
WordPerfect Macros Command Center-gives you a complete listing of available macro commands, including PerfectScript macro commands.
PerfectExpert-guides you through basic tasks and helps you create detailed projects.
User Guide-If you use WordPerfect as part of WordPerfect Office, you can refer to the WordPerfect section of the WordPerfect Office User Guide for help.
Before you start using WordPerfect, it is important to understand the conventions used in the documentation. By reviewing the conventions, you will be able to use the mouse and the keyboard to create and edit documents more effectively.
Once you understand the documentation conventions, you can view online Help as you work in WordPerfect, or you can print online Help topics. You can access context-sensitive Help from the menus, dialog boxes, property bars, and all other toolbars.
WordPerfect also comes with its own built-in expert, which is ready to help you with many tasks. PerfectExpert includes the best features of QuickTasks, templates, and Coaches, combined with information from online Help and the power of a natural-language interface, to assist you with everyday tasks. PerfectExpert allows you to create complex documents quickly, using professionally designed templates.
You can access information about the application, license information, and your system. Application information consists of the application name, version number, serial number, and user name. This information doesn't change. You'll find it particularly useful if you ever need help from Corel Technical Support Services. System information consists of details about any of the following categories: system, display, printing, Corel .exe and .dll files, and system .dll files. You can save any system information in a text file called sysinfo.txt.

To view application and system information
To Do the following
View application and system information Click Help About WordPerfect. In the About WordPerfect dialog box, click System info, and choose a category from the Choose a category list box.
View product and license information Click Help About WordPerfect. Click one of the following buttons to view information about that topic:

Edit the serial number and personal identification number (PIN) Click Help About WordPerfect. Click PIN. In the PIN box, type the personal identification number.
Note
The About WordPerfect dialog box displays the version number and registration information for your software.
Tip
Click Save in the System info dialog box to store system information for printing. System information is saved as sysinfo.txt. A message box tells displays the location of the saved file.
