It is often convenient to have a set of envelopes with your name, address, and other information already printed on them to use at any time. It is also a nice touch to include self-addressed return envelopes for your clients to use.
Choosing a style for preprinted envelopes
Choose a look for your envelopes that fits the tone and style of you or your company.
Preparing preprinted envelopes
Select the elements you want to use on your envelope. If you are planning to use these envelopes to send material to clients, you can put your company's name and address in the return address area. If you are planning to send these to clients as reply envelopes, you can put your company's address in the recipient's address area, and use blank lines to allow clients to fill in their own return addresses.
Adding blank lines for return addresses
Print lines on which the clients can write their addresses. This is especially helpful when you are sending these envelopes for clients to use when they reply to you.
Adding mailing instructions to envelopes
When you have to add special instructions for either the postal service or the recipient, insert a phrase above the recipient's address. You can choose from the phrases above or type your own instructions.
Inserting a United States mail permit number on an envelope
If your company has a United States mail permit number, you can insert it on the envelope.
Inserting a return address on an envelope
Insert a return address in the upper-left corner. If you plan to use this envelope to send material to others, this address should be your company's return address.
If you are sending reply envelopes to customers, you can customize the envelope by preprinting customers' addresses from the Corel Address Book or another address file.
Inserting a recipient's address on an envelope
Insert an address in the lower-right side of the envelope. If you are going to use these envelopes as response envelopes, this address should be your company's address with the appropriate directions (for example, "Attn.: Order Department"). If you are going to use these envelopes to mail materials to your customers, leave the address area blank.
You can quickly address envelopes to your customers by using Merge to insert customers' addresses from the Corel Address Book or another address file.
Adding a logo to an envelope
Put your company's logo on the envelope. Click Change the logo, and then select a logo saved as a graphics file or another image from the wide variety of Clipart available. Once you have inserted the logo, you can drag to size and position it on the envelope. You can also use the logo or image as a watermark behind the return address. Be careful not to obscure the recipient's address to make sure the letter reaches its destination quickly.
Creating mailing labels
You can format and print labels WordPerfect. Select the type of label forms you have, choose a font, add the information for each label, and print the labels. If you use these labels repeatedly, save the document.
When you have finished typing a label, press CTRL + ENTER to create a new one.
You can type the text for each label, or use Merge to type addresses or other information from a data file or from the Address Book.
When you are finished, you can print the labels on label sheets or on printer paper.
Decorating mailing labels
Personalize your labels by adding graphical borders and images to each label. Use the same decorations on each label for a consistent, professional look, or use different borders and images to liven up your letters.
Printing mailing labels
Print a single address on as many labels as you want or print one label at a time. The label page shows you where each label will print. Press CTRL + ENTER to position the label where you want it to print on the sheet of labels.
Merging addresses on mailing lists
Use the names and addresses in the Corel Address Book to merge onto the labels. You can also insert merge codes into the labels form file and use an existing data file, or create a data file.
Merging addresses on preprinted envelopes
Use the names and addresses in the address book to merge onto the envelopes. You can also insert merge codes into the labels form file and use an existing data file, or create a data file.
Adding notations for recipients to preprinted envelopes
When you have to add special instructions for the recipient, insert a phrase below the return address. You can choose from the phrases above or type your own instructions.
