The Corel Desktop Application Director (DAD) allows you to start applications directly from the Windows taskbar at the click of a mouse. You can start the DAD yourself, or have it start automatically when you launch Windows. Application icons can be added to the DAD, and unwanted icons can be removed. When you hold the mouse pointer over an icon on the DAD a QuickTip is revealed; these tips can be edited. As well, you can exit the DAD.
2 Enable the Include DAD in Startup folder check box.
Tip
You can also have the DAD start automatically by right-clicking a DAD icon, and clicking Display DAD on startup.
To start an application using the DAD
Click a DAD icon on the taskbar.
To add an icon to the DAD
1 Right-click a DAD icon, and click Properties.
2 Click Add.
3 Choose the drive and folder where the file is stored.
4 In the File type list box, select the extension for the file you want to open.
5 Select the file and click Open.

No permanent changes are made to the DAD until you click OK in the DAD Properties dialog box.
If you click Properties and make changes you need to restart the DAD before they will take effect.
Tip
You can also add an icon to the DAD by dragging a Windows shortcut or executable file from Windows Explorer to the DAD Properties dialog box. You cannot drag files directly to the DAD.
To remove an icon from the DAD
1 Right-click a DAD icon, and click Properties.
2 Select an item from the File list.
3 Click Delete.
Notes
No permanent changes are made to the DAD until you click OK in the DAD Properties dialog box.
You can delete only one DAD icon at a time.
To edit a DAD QuickTip
1 Right-click a DAD icon, and click Properties.
2 Click the name of an icon, pause, and click the name again.
The name will be placed in a small editing box.
3 Type a new QuickTip, and press ENTER.

A QuickTip is revealed by holding the mouse pointer over an icon on the DAD.
