  3. Please read the following important notes before 
  4. starting the program for the first time:

  10. This program is operating very close to the hardware. 
  11. Therefore you may encounter problems running some 
  12. of the tests including severe exception errors 
  13. (Blue screens), general protection faults (GPFs), 
  14. program errors; the system may  hang or reboot after
  15. performing tests.
  16. As far as we know from user reports there is no 
  17. reason to expect permanent damages coming out of 
  18. these problems. In most cases they don┤t occur at all.

  20. However if you want to exclude all risks you should 
  21. not install and run this program.
  22.  
  23. Close all open files (especially data files like text
  24. documents) before running the program. If not data might
  25. get lost when the system crashes or hangs. Also close 
  26. DOS applications and other background tasks before 
  27. running the program. If not clock and benchmark 
  28. measuring will be affected dramatically. In order to 
  29. get the best viewing results switch to a resolution of 
  30. 800 x 600 with 256 colors or better and small system font.

  32. Always look at the status line of the program. A red 
  33. shining lamp indicates that the program is working.
