- I. General

- 1. The user of this software recognizes and accepts that this program
- and all rights thereto are protected by copyright and other rights of
- possession.
- Dr. Hardware 2003 - both software and electronic or printed
- documentation - is Copyright (c) Peter Gebhard, 14001 Berlin,
- Germany.
- 2. The following license agreement take effect at 12/01/2002.
- 3. By using this program, the user accepts these conditions of license
- and use.
- 4. If the user doesn't accept these conditions of license the right of
- use ends automatically.

- II. Usage

- 1. The user gains through full payment of the software declared in the
- original bill the right to usage of the program not exclusive to
- himself.
- The program, parts of the program or the documentation thereof may
- not be copied, except for the purpose of a back up copy for
- safekeeping. The purchaser may use a single purchased copy only for
- his own purposes, and only on one computer at one time.

- 2. This program and all rights thereto are protected by copyright and
- other rights of possession.

- 3. For the shareware version:
- - The evaluation version of Dr. Hardware may not be sold or licensed.
- Neither may a fee be charged for its use. If a fee is charged in
- connection with Dr. Hardware 2003, it should only cover the
- cost of copying or distribution. Payment of such fees don┤t
- constitute a legal ownership.
- - The evaluation version of Dr. Hardware must be presented in its
- complete form. It is not allowed to distribute the program and its
- documentation files separately.
- - If you continue using the evaluation version of the program
- after a reasonable trial period of 10 days, you have to pay a
- the registration fee to the author.

- III. Distribution

- 1. The permission for distribution of shareware versions will
- principally not be given exclusively.
- 2. Neither the program nor its documentation may be altered in any way,
- extended, changed for use on other systems, or translated into other
- languages without express written permission from the author.
- 3. The shareware version may be distributed without written permission
- by the author via disk media (Floppy Disk, CD ROM), Online Services
- and BBS as far as it is not claimed "Free" or "Cheap". The distributor
- is obliged to distribute the latest available program version.

- Distribution of the registered version:

- 1. Principally the registered version of Dr. Hardware may be neither
- passed freely nor sold to third persons.
- 2. Software vendors who are interested in distributing the registered
- version of Dr. Hardware 2003 should contact the author Peter Geb-
- hard for there exists a different version for redistribution.
- 3. To distribute the registered version of Dr. Hardware 2002 the
- software vendor needs an official permission by the author.
- 4. The vendor who wants to distribute the registered version of
- Dr. Hardware 2003 has to order the pieces he needs. Each
- copy will be registered in a unique way so it┤s not allowed to
- multiplicate one master disk.
- 5. Vendors should not fix a registration fee that is different from
- the official fee.

- III. Warranty Disclaimer:

- 1. The author takes no responsibility for the suitability of the
- program for any particular purpose. In particular, the author takes
- no responsibility for damage or consequences directly or indirectly
- which may arise from use of the program or its documentation.

- 2. It has to be emphasized that this software is operating at such a
- low level that system crashes and other problems may occur suddenly
- and unexpectedly.
- The program user has to be aware of system troubles at any time and
- is obliged to be prepared for it.

- reports

- IV. Support

- Registered users get support within six months via eMail, restricted to program
- related questions. Support, given at later time, is probably not free of charge.
- We expect that before asking for support the user has studied the online help
- as well as the online support given on www.dr-hardware.com

- V. Updates

- 1.The registered user can register new updates with his key for the current
- (Standard version) resp. the current and the next main version.
- He has to load the corresponding shareware version by his own.
- (e.g. from Gebhard Homepage).

- VI. Others
-
- 1. The right of redelivery of the registerd version is excluded.
- 2. The program, the documentation and the prices are subject to change
- at any time.
