  9. You should carefully read the following terms and conditions
  10. before using this software.

  12. Shareware Version

  14. You are hereby licensed to:  use the Shareware Version of the
  15. software for a 30 day evaluation period; make as many copies of
  16. the Shareware version of this software and documentation as you
  17. wish; give exact copies of the original Shareware version to
  18. anyone; and distribute the Shareware version of the software and
  19. documentation in its unmodified form via electronic means.  There
  20. is no charge for any of the above.

  22. You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting
  23. donations, for any such copies, however made; and from
  24. distributing the software and/or documentation with other products
  25. (commercial or otherwise) without prior written permission, with
  26. one exception:  Disk Vendors approved by the Association of
  27. Shareware Professionals are permitted to redistribute The Raven,
  28. subject to the conditions in this license, without specific
  29. written permission.

  31. Unregistered use of The Raven after the 30-day evaluation period is
  32. in violation of federal copyright laws.

  34. Evaluation and Purchase

  36. This is not free software.  This license allows you to use this
  37. software for evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 30
  38. days.  If you use this software after the 30 day evaluation period
  39. a registration fee of $30.00 is required. There is also a small
  40. shipping and handling charge required.  ($2 North America, $4
  41. International)

  43. Payments must be in US dollars drawn on a US bank, and should
  44. be sent to Fineware Systems, P.O. Box 75776, Oklahoma City, OK 73147.
  45. Credit card ordering and quantity discounts are available, 
  46. as described in the section Ordering Information/Order Form.  
  47. When payment is received you will be sent a registered copy of 
  48. the latest version of The Raven.

  50. One registered copy of The Raven may either be used by a single
  51. person who uses the software personally on one or more computers,
  52. or installed on a single workstation used nonsimultaneously by
  53. multiple people, but not both.

  55. You may access the registered version of The Raven through a network,
  56. provided that you have obtained individual licenses for the
  57. software covering all workstations that will access the software
  58. through the network.

  60. Governing Law

  62. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of
  63. Oklahoma.

  65. Disclaimer of Warranty

  67. THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND
  68. WITHOUT WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY
  69. OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.  Because of the
  70. various hardware and software environments into which The Raven 
  71. may be put, NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS
  72. OFFERED.

  74. Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be
  75. thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it.
  76. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program.  ANY
  77. LIABILITY OF THE SELLER WILL BE LIMITED EXCLUSIVELY TO PRODUCT
  78. REPLACEMENT OR REFUND OF PURCHASE PRICE.
