pNotes v1.02 7 Jan 1995
=============
Introduction:
This is a simple personal notepad/jotter. It is a replacement for the yellow
sticky notes that are used to write reminders. It is designed to be as
simple to use as it can reasonably be.
Usage:
pNotes uses the keyboard, not the mouse, because when you're typing, your
hands are already on the keyboard, right?
pNotes has just one window which you type into from the keyboard and scroll
using the keyboard arrow keys. Selecting text and cutting and pasting to the
clipboard is done using shift-arrows, shift-delete and shift-insert. These
are standard windows key assignments so there is nothing to remember.
pNotes uses its own data file, so no file names to remember; it saves its
data automatically, so no 'save' button to push.
When pNotes is running, it stays on top so the notes can be seen. When it is
minimized to an icon, it doesnt stay on top. The 'mimimize' entry is at the
top of the system menu so its easy to use. (Press Alt for the system menu,
Down Arrow for the top entry, Enter to minimize.)
The appropriate place to install pNotes is in the startup group. Choose a
suitable button for Windows 'Shortcut Key', then when you want to make a
note, press the Shortcut Key, type in the note, and press Alt, Down Arrow,
Enter to hide pNotes. Alternatively, press Alt+Tab to switch back to your
job and leave the note on the screen where you can see it.
Key usage is in a Help screen accessed from the system menu.
