  14.     Excel Progs is a small yet rapidly growing shareware development
  15.     organization whose members combined have decades of experience
  16.     in the computer industry.  While Excel Progs currently is
  17.     focusing on Windows applications, Excel Progs has also created
  18.     computer-independent .MID (Midi) songs and is always into new
  19.     ideas for computer products on all platforms.

  91.         Midi Machine V1.21 is a .MID/.WAV jukebox/file manager for Win 
  92.         3.1+ Midi Machine plays songs in many different ways:  random, 
  93.         shuffle, backwards, continuous, or combinations of the previous.  
  94.         Album Load/Save is supported, allowing you to listen to your 
  95.         favorite sounds all at once.  Auto-play after drag&drop sound 
  96.         selections from programs such as File Manager is supported.  
  97.         Icon animations "dance" to the sound of your favorite tunes - 
  98.         over a dozen are included with support for externals.  
  99.         Command-line options allow you to run your favorite albums 
  100.         and play modes at start-up.  There is mouse-sensitive help as 
  101.         well as an external text documentation file.

  103.         Midi Machine V1.21 is a state-of-the-art .MID/.WAV
  104.         player and file manager, combining many features

  127.     o       MALEK1.MID (MIDI Song File)
  128.  
  129.         An alternative to the normal classical style.  Auxillary 
  130.         percussion (timpani, vibes, and bells) start the file in a 
  131.         very jarring motion, leading to a string and choir 
  132.         introduction and a temporary calming of the bass.  The bells 
  133.         return along with short bursts of the timpani. Vibes signal 
  134.         the introduction of a softer mode, and the piccolo takes a 
  135.         brief stint as soloist. Once again, auxillary percussion 
  136.         commences as the string dies down and the sound returns to its 
  137.         original state.  At last, the timpani beats a few dying notes 
  138.         and decays.
  139.  
  140.     o       MALEK2.MID (MIDI Song File)
  141.  
  142.         This movement begins with a slight auxillary percussion base, 
  143.         with the New Age/Flute and Vibes alternating melody.  The 
  144.         melody begins to get higher and higher; a peak is reached and 
  145.         the base lowers.  Soon a running part is established by the 
  146.         clarinet/flute duet as the piece reflects beginning melodies.  
  147.         This reflection leads to the first climax as the SoundTrack FX 
  148.         rumbles in the bottom underneath the string melody.  The Choir 
  149.         takes the lead as the sound mellows. After its turn at solo, 
  150.         the flute running part begins again; the song reaches its final
  151.         climax and toms are beaten in the background.  The New Age 
  152.         penetrates the lower voices reaching higher and higher, breaks 
  153.         free, and decrescendoes to the end.
  154.  
  155.     o    MALEK3.MID (MIDI Song File)
  156.  
  157.         This movement begins with a percussion start to the familiar
  158.         high-low rhythm found in earlier movements, with strings
  159.         formulating texture as choir pads and leads fall into the fray.
  160.         The sound of New Age powers in on its high tonalities, while
  161.         Aahs provide a lower counter-melody.  Soon multiple counter-
  162.         melodies vie each other for the attention and the percussion
  163.         drops out.  Bass takes over as the tempo decreases, but the 
  164.         high melody only relinquishes its power temporarily and return 
  165.         to the mixture.  A slow pattern travels amongst the various 
  166.         instruments and morphs into odd chords and a re-emergance of 
  167.         percussion.  Pulses of Soundtrack FX spike as Aahs begin their 
  168.         measures of running notes as a slow, dark, melody continues.  
  169.         Portions of the original melody return to haunt in the form of 
  170.         the Accordion.  All voices break away, the tempo speeds, and
  171.         the original melody takes over with loud orchestral hits.  The
  172.         melody experiments with an assortment of keys and the orchestra
  173.         relaxes.  Soon all that remains is the percussion and a low
  174.         5ths lead.  Strings bring in a syncopated rhythm which finds
  175.         its way to the Choir Aahs.  The old melody will never die, 
  176.         however; the accordion once again asserts its prescence in a 
  177.         faster version of the original high-low rhythm.  A break for 
  178.         orchestra hits - and the original bass counter-melody with the
  179.         Choir Aahs return, also faster.  The instruments slip away, but
  180.         bounce back with a vengance, with powerful orchestral hits 
  181.         making its rounds as the bass counter-melody.  When the sound 
  182.         gets almost too powerful, everything save a few lonely voices
  183.         fade..they share a brief chord, and fade themselves to the end.
  184.         
  185.     o       Excel-PWD V1.0
  186.     
  187.         Excel-PWD is a Windows application allowing you to create 
  188.         difficult passwords "on-the-fly" for usage on bulletin boards, 
  189.         Internet, or computer services.  You can create passwords of 
  190.         multiple types, depending on how long you wish the passwords 
  191.         can be and what characters the host system supports in the 
  192.         password.  Also included is an E-Text discussing why passwords 
  193.         are so extremely important in this day and age.
  194.  
  195.     o       STI V1.1 (Studley The Icon) 
  196.  
  197.         S.T.I. is described as "Your Personal Desktop Excercise
  198.         Motivator."  In plain English, Studley will try to motivate
  199.         you to exercise a little more.  While the iconized Studley
  200.         performs his helathy regiment of moves, why not join him!
  201.         This program is now *POSTCARDWARE.*
  202.  
  203. III.    How to Become a Distributor Site
  204.  
  205.     Excel Progs is looking for more bulletin boards and information 
  206.     services to serve as distributor sites.  This works well for both 
  207.     parties:  Excel Progs is able to send its software to a larger 
  208.     audience, and your service has more to advertise about.  Your users 
  209.     know that the latest in Excel Progs utilities, songs, and games 
  210.     (coming soon!) can be found first on your service.  
  211.  
  212.     Excel Progs is accepting applications on the basis of "first come, 
  213.     first serve."  There will be one distributor site per county.  A 
  214.     "county" is described in this text as a place which holds a telephone 
  215.     connection to your service for the public (i.e., if you have a service
  216.     in Knox County (Knoxville, TN) which has an Anderson County (Oak Ridge,
  217.     TN) connect line open only to members, your site will be considered to
  218.     be an Knox Co. site ONLY.  If the line becomes public and no site has 
  219.     already appeared in Anderson Co., you will be considered to be a 
  220.     site for both counties.
  221.  
  222.     Excel Progs shall have the sole task of determining whether two or more
  223.     services are considered "too close" to both become distribution sites.
  224.  
  225.     We are asking for services that have been up for at least a year, 
  226.     show promise of being up for much longer, and have potential for 
  227.     growth.  If your service goes down for a small period of time you 
  228.     will retain your site number when you return; in cases of serious
  229.     down-time the site number may be awarded to someone else.  Thus, it 
  230.     is imperative that if your service goes down for a time greater 
  231.     than a month or if it is to go down permanently that you immediately 
  232.     contact Andrew Malek of Excel Progs.
  233.  
  234.     We are looking for "family" services.  Note that this does not mean 
  235.     exclusively religious services, just those that don't cater 
  236.     exclusively to adult users.  This also does not exclude services that 
  237.     responsibly have adult sections hidden to the general public.
  238.  
  239.     We are looking for public domain/shareware/freeware/post-cardware/
  240.     ..etc services ONLY!  If you are a pirate site or hold ANY pirate 
  241.     files, then we appreciate you not applying.
  242.  
  243.     Excel Progs is new, and is currently an organization, not an 
  244.     official business.  As a new group, you have the opportunity to be 
  245.     one of the first to be a distributor site.  In the event Excel Progs 
  246.     formally is established as a business, your distributor site numbers 
  247.     shall be transfered in the proper ways, if necessary.
  248.  
  249.     As a distributor site, you need to keep up with the newest Excel
  250.     Progs products.  We ask that you call Idaho Interactive BBS at least
  251.     once every 3-6 months, and, if you wish, in the meantime, acquire
  252.     all Excel Progs products at your convenience from sources such as 
  253.     CompuServe (C) and Internet FTP sites, where they are uploaded
  254.     on a semi-regular basis (Feel free to call Idaho Interactive
  255.     as often as you wish...the 3-6 months is only a suggestion for
  256.     software acquisition).  If you run Major BBS with Majornet, we
  257.     ask that you take the official support forum (mentioned later in
  258.     this file).  We also ask all sites to mention that they are a support
  259.     board in opening screens, bulletins, advertisements,..etc, if
  260.     possible.
  261.         
  262.     Regarding Idaho Interactive BBS, you will receive an account 
  263.     and password regarding your formal confirmation (when you receive 
  264.     postal mail regarding the confirmation).  ALL Excel Progs files 
  265.     shall be on Idaho Interactive BBS in the file area EXCEPROG.  Just 
  266.     type F F S EXCELPROGS to access the files.  Type M S EXCEPROG to
  267.     access the forum area.  You may download individual files or download
  268.     the entire batch as EPALL.ZIP (all such downloads are free from time
  269.     restrictions!)  If for some unknown reason Idaho Interactive ceases
  270.     to exist, Excel Progs will try all possible routes of establishing
  271.     a new home board or new methods of distributing its files.

  273.     To apply, simply print and fill out the form located near the end of 
  274.     this text and mail to the address specified.  Or, fill it out
  275.     electronically and send it via Internet electronic mail.  Upon
  276.     approval, you shall receive in the coming weeks your confirmation
  277.     letter, number, and other information Excel Progs feels appropriate.
