  1. Okay.. license for use/distribution of the Ptmid package (ver 0.3), which
  2. consists of the files:
  3.         ptmid.c, ptmid.h, ptmidinp.c, ptmidzap.c, ptmidsav.c, samples.c,
  4.         samples.h, ptmid.doc, ptmid.cfg, and any executable version of these.

  6. Fairly simple:
  7.  
  8. o       Don't ask for any money specifically for this package when
  9.         distributing it (other than "costs").
  10.  
  11. o       Don't pay any money for this package (yeah.. I know :).
  12.  
  13. o       Don't make any money from this package. This is the sticky
  14.         one. I haven't made anything from my program, so please don't
  15.         be unreasonable. If you plan to sell music converted by
  16.         Ptmid and make your fortune, send some of it my way. If you
  17.         are going to include converted music in an incredible demo,
  18.         drop my name in a credit somewhere.

  20. o       Don't distribute the executable separately. You must include
  21.         the source along with it (and the manual). Though you can
  22.         distribute just the source (and the manual).

  24. o       If you make changes to the source and then distribute or
  25.         incorporate the source into another program, then you must
  26.         put some notice in saying that it is a derivation. License
  27.         still applies. Please let me know if you do this though.

  29. o       Don't convert _every_ MIDI file you come across to MOD format
  30.         and then stick _all_ these files on a distribution site..
  31.         come on! You'll have so much redundancy that it's silly.
