Capture 3.1 is an enhancement over Capture 3.0.
In general Capture 3.1 allows the user to "Capture" portions of the Windows
3.1 screen and either save them as Bitmaps (or Icons in Icon Mode) or copy them
to the clipboard. Capture 3.1 is an excellent tool for doing documentation
whether it be used to insert a picture representation of one application that
cannot be imported into another (ex. bringing scalable Microsoft Publisher
screen images into Microsoft Word) or to make general documentation or
tutorials of another application (particularly useful for help files.)
Capture 3.1 acheives this functionality through four main modes:
Region Mode - allows the user to draw a rectangle of the area desired.
Window Mode - Captures the window that the user clicks on
Client Mode - Captures the client area of the window that the user
clicks on.
Desktop Mode- Captures the entire screen.
Windows Mode and Client Mode now draw rectangles around the window being
captured. Capture 3.1 has a user configuarble hotkey that brings the user
into the selected capture mode.
Additional Enhancements of Capture 3.1 allow for a scalable zoom factor,
automatically clipping window images to the screen and the client area of a
parent (if the parent exists AND the window is WS_CHILD), and all windows are
brought to the top when captured, so as to be unabstructed.
Capture 3.1 is shareware and can be registered for $10. Some key
functionality is disabled until registration. Capture 3.0's registration
code will work for Capture 3.1
