  1. What is Norman ScreenDumper?

  3. Norman ScreenDumper is a screen capture utility.  Screen capture programs allow the 
  4. user to select any area of the display and 'photograph' it.  This can be extremely useful 
  5. for all people.  Computer programmers can capture their program's 'screens' and then 
  6. import the images into a desktop publishing program or a word processor.  These images 
  7. can then be included with text for their manual.  Users can capture pictures from 
  8. programs and edit them with almost any graphics program.  Norman ScreenDumper is 
  9. so versatile that Microsoft Paintbrush, included with windows, can be used to edit the 
  10. images it captures.  For example, many games have high quality scanned photos that 
  11. can be captured by Norman ScreenDumper.  These images can be used as windows wall 
  12. paper giving windows a great feel and look!  Norman ScreenDumper has many other 
  13. features.  Images can be printed, bordered in many styles, and saved to files.  I am 
  14. confident that you, the user, will find Norman ScreenDumper a valuable asset to your 
  15. utility collection since a lot of work has gone into making this a powerful, yet, easy - to - 
  16. use, program.

  18. The Shareware concept

  20. I believe that the escalating number of people who pirate software is due to the reason 
  21. that software prices are so high.  It is now common place to find programs that cost over 
  22. one hundred and fifty dollars.  In fact, a commercial screen capturing program, similar to 
  23. Norman  ScreenDumper, but with less features, costs one hundred and sixty Australian 
  24. dollars. I therefore believe that Shareware is a good idea because most programs on 
  25. Shareware only require fifteen to twenty dollars (Norman ScreenDumper only costs ten 
  26. US dollars).  Another advantage with Shareware is that programs can be tested before 
  27. they are paid for.  That is, a Shareware program, if not found useful, can be erased and 
  28. no payment is necessary.  Please support the Shareware concept and register.

  32. To register read the information on the 'About Norman ScreenDumper...' menu.  The 
  33. registration cost US$10 making ScreenDumper one of the cheapest programs on the 
  34. market.  Every dollar received from my program will go towards making better programs 
  35. for the user.  This includes buying a Windows help complier to have professional - 
  36. online help.

  38. Use over the 30 day trial period is strictly prohibited.  After 30 days, without 
  39. entering the registration password, Norman ScreenDumper will 'lock' until it is entered.  
  40. To receive your password, register by filling out the registration form (reg.bmp).  It is 
  41. very important to include your serial number because this determines your password. 
  42. The serial number can be found on the 'About Norman Screen Dumper' window.  Please 
  43. fill the registration form by opening 'reg.bmp' in Microsoft Paintbrush⌐ and printing it.
